Hi all! After spending a good part of the day at the zoo, I came home and finished up a card that I'd started last night. This one was made for MFT's latest sketch challenge. I've had my eye on this particular a la mode for the longest and finally broke down and bought it! My mornings just aren't right if I don't get my coffee! ;) I colored her with copics and cut her out with that out of the box method, I think it's called. She's also up on dimensionals, as is the sentiment. I happily used up some of my dp stash (October Afternoon here) and some bling to finish it all off.
Thanks for taking a peek! Hope you're all enjoying some pleasant weather - I know we are!

Get some butta...
'Cuz I'm on a roll! HA! I made this for 4 challenges! Today's sketch challenge on SCS, two of Flourishes' blog challenges and once I was done, I realized it fit Joanne B's Blogaversary challenge! Love how things work out sometimes!
I loved how easy the SC was for today, so I started there. I stamped the Gerber daisies from Flourishes onto SU's newest pink cs. I used copics to highlight parts of the flowers. I then sponged and distressed that layer. I finally broke down and used some of that scrumptious MME Stella and Ruby dp you see almost everywhere these days! Is anyone else like me and doesn't like to waste dp? It looks like I've used a nice big piece of that pretty paper doesn't it? Nope, I cut out a rectangle in the center, which is obviously covered up by the main images. Now I have a good sized scrap to use on another card! Moving on... I used that fun dizzy border die from MFT behind my sentiment and added some twine (I think this one is the honeydew, picks up the green in the dp) and popped it up on dimensionals. The butterfly has stickles on its wings and is also up on a dimensional. Ok, any clue as to why my stitching is coming out backwards? I swear I didn't sew it upside down! Just showing off my sewing skills there, ha!
Thanks again for stopping by!
Hugs,

A trio of challenges...
Hi all! Hope everyone is enjoying their spring break - well, at least it's spring break for us! I'm so grateful to have some time to do some spring cleaning and STAMPING! ;)
I made this card for three challenges. One is today's color challenge over on SCS. I haven't posted a card on the same day as a challenge since last summer, I think! The other challenge is MFT's weekly sketch challenge. And the final challenge is Joanne B's blog challenge. You had to pick three things from a list she gave and my 3 are faux stitching, kraft paper and twine. This is my first Fred Bear stamp from MFT and let me tell ya, he was SO fun to color! I colored him with an aquapainter using suede and baja inks. I used copics for the grass, a gold copic spica pen for the flower centers and a white gel pen for the flower petals. Fortunately, I was able to use some of my new twine, also from MFT, and their newest border die, which I think is called the dizzy border, but it seems to be sold out. My mini rolled rose has liquid pearls in the center because I didn't have the right size pearl bling to put in there. I decided to not put a sentiment just yet, because I'm finding myself short on birthday cards lately.

Hello... Is this thing on!???
Thought I fell off the face of the Earth, huh? Ha! Nope, just a busy, busy mom. And I must apologize for the fact that I don't post in weeks and here I go making another pink and brown card! Well, I needed this one for a coworker's baby shower. I used MFT's sketch from last week. The stamp set is from Flourishes, but the sentiment is from an SU set. The bassinet was embossed with white ep. I'm thrilled that I used up some old dp! Added taffeta ribbon, a corduroy brad and some pearls. Ah, and I added a little faux stitching to the sentiment banner.
Oh, and here's what I've been doing a lot of lately...
Watching any one of my three boys rounding bases! Yes, sir, baseball season is HERE!!! I'm also working on getting a little side job going, but more on that another day.
Thanks for stopping by!
