TAWS New Release Blog Hop!

Hi all!  Welcome to The Alley Way Stamps New Release Blog Hop!  I am featuring the cute and funny set called Stumped.  Seriously, this set is hilarious!  I took a scrap piece of copy paper, taped it down, then sponged the ground using two different green inks over some smooth white card stock.    Then I flipped the scrap paper and did the same thing using 3 different inks for the sky.  I added the two clouds using my cloud stencil and sponging them with sweet tooth pigment ink.  The skunk and stump were colored with Copics then fussy cut.  He fit perfectly atop the stump - ready to FIRE, if ya know what I mean, lol!  I stamped the sentiment from the set in black licorice ink.

You have a chance to win ALL THREE SETS by commenting over on the TAWS Blog!!!

This super adorable Mini Set, Moosing You, is FREE when you spend $40.00
or more during the month of February, 2015.

TAWS Sneak Peek Day 2 - Tootharina

Hi all!  I'm here on sneak peek day 2 and we are showing a NEW set called Tootharina by The Alley Way Stamps!  All of the new sets will be available to purchase at 10PM Mountain Time from the TAWS store.  I colored this sweet image with my Copics, added Stickles to her wings, then fussy cut her.  Now, you can't have a fairy card without stars and glitter!  ;)  I added glitter to her wand and added the same glitter to the stars, which were done by using embossing paste with a stencil.  The little 'sparkle' border on the left side is also an image from this set.  I kept all of the colors soft so that Tootharina was the main focus.  The sentiment, also from the set, was stamped on vellum.

If you hop on over to today's sneak peek post on the The Alley Way Stamps blog, you will be able to see the rest of the team's awesome Tootharina sneak peek cards, plus there is an opportunity to WIN this fantastic stamp set!  Be quick, as the contest is running for today only and will close at 7pm mountain time tonight.

TAWS - Love U

Hi all!  Need a quick Valentines/Anniversary/Just because card?  Well here ya go!  The sentiment is from the TAWS Bubbly set.  Seriously love this set because of ALL the possibilities - coloring, paper piecing, and here, I filled in the letters with Stickles.  The heart banners are from the Cake Day set {another awesome must have if you ask me!}.  I colored most of the hearts with Copics and even masked a section of them so they could overlap.  The hearts that I left blank were also filled in with the same Stickles.  I used that cute sheet of dp from the True Friend paper pad to continue the heart theme.

YNS Fun Friday - Get a load of this!

Hi all!  Happy Friday!  Time for another Fun Friday post with some fun challenges over on the YNS Blog!  I used both the color and sketch challenges this time to make this cute boyish birthday card.  That adorable truck and the sentiments are from the Keep on Trucking set.  I colored him with Copics, then used the matching dies to cut him out.  I added some extra interest by using the Tiny Stitches - stitched line die on the card base and sides of the larger layer.

Here's a peek at the inside...

TAWS Happy Cake Day

Hi all!  So, um, I kinda made a bright card, lol!  The background words from the Bubbly set were stamped with limelight hybrid ink then embossed.  I then sponged Blu Raspberry and nightshift blue inks over the words for an ombre look.  I then kept the ombre theme going by stamping the sentiment from Cake Day using those same two inks.  See all those gumdrops and enamel dots?  They may or may not be covering my embossing mistakes.  ;)  I used blue sapphire and blue raspberry gumdrops, along with the a couple MME enamel dots.  This card measures 4x4.

Hi all!  Here's my card for our YNS feature post which is all about love.  I used these fun stamps from the Perfect Chemistry set.  I colored them with Copics then fussy cut them.  Now for even more fun, I used the small tear away tab to complete the rest of the sentiment.  ;)

See??  How fun!!!

Sugar Pea Designs Birthday Bash - Let's Fiesta!

Hi all!  I'm SO thrilled to be joining Wendy, her team and a long list of talented designers to help celebrate Sugar Pea Designs 1st Birthday!!!  And what set is more appropriate than SPD's Let's Fiesta!  I cannot tell you how fun this happy dude is to color!  I knew I wanted to use the True Friend paper pad with him, so I colored him with my Copics so that he matched.  How do you like his arm and leg hair (lol, sorry, couldn't resist - you can't have a mustache like that and NOT have arm hair!)?  I also like the subtle woodgrain on his guitar.  ;)  I then fussy cut him and adhered him with foam adhesive.  The sentiment is embossed with clear ep and my tropical teal hybrid ink.  A couple of the YNS pumpkin gumdrops (and a blue one from MME), add the finishing touch!

And what's a party without prizes?!  One lucky person who comments on ALL of the participating blogs will win this---->

SAY WHAT?!?!  Yes, a $100 Gift Certificate to the Sugar Pea Designs store!  BUT that's not all!  If you play along with us and link up your card on the SPD Blog (to the appropriate post), you could also win a $25 gift certificate!!!  You can also use code BDAY01 and get 10% off your order through 24 January!  Doesn't get any better than that!

Alrighty, now it's time to hop on over to Jen's Blog!  Thanks for stopping by!

Watercolored Happy Birthday

Hi all!  Here with a fun Flashback card using some older TAWS sets {hence "Flashback", hehe!}.  The sentiment is from Jibber Jabber (lots of fun fonts!) and the two butterflies are from the Awesome Blossom set.  I embossed the butterflies with white embossing powder.  Then I took lemon drop, orange fizz and wild cherry inks, stamped them on my craft mat, then used my aqua painter to paint over the butterflies.  SO easy and SO fun!  Great way to add color to your cards!  A lemon drop button and some twine add the finishing details.

Sweet Birthday Wishes

Hi all!  Here's my card for the MFTWSC211 sketch.  I love these flowers in the Desert Bouquet set!  I stamped them in wild cherry, tropical teal and black licorice inks onto grout gray card stock.  Totally diggin' this color combo!  A steel grey button and some red/white twine add the finishing details.  The sentiment, from the Birdie Brown Sweet Birthday Wishes stamp set, is stamped on one of the Blueprints 20 elements.

Hi all!  Here with a fun card using TAWS Cake Day and Oogles sets!  I couldn't resist paper-piecing one of these cutie monsters and having him hold a few balloons ;)  The balloons were colored with Copics then fussy cut.  The colors were inspired by the ric75 challenge.

YNS DT Dare - You're so Sweet!

HI all!  It's time for our YNS DT Dare and this month, the challenge is to make a project using red & white ~ just in time for Valentine's Day!   I guess you could say I'm slightly addicted to making shaker cards because here's another one!  ;)  I used one of the super cute heart lollipops from the Sweet and Cool set.  I colored it with Copics then used the matching dies to cut it out.  I used the stitched line die along each side of the white layer.  Love how it turned out!  The sentiment, also from the set, was stamped on the smaller 3D banner die set pieces.  The pretty red sequins are from the Tinsel & Co sequin pack.  I used grout gray card stock to make the red and white pop.
