Do pearls go with gingham?

Well, I think so! At least on this card, ha! Kind of an elegant country look, no? I made this for Flourishes new release blog challenge to make a card inspired by a games that kids play. I went with four square. I'd never heard of it before, but my boys have loved playing it at school for a couple of years now.
This is my first card with one of my newest Flourishes stamps. And btw, have you seen their new Sunflower set????!!! Jaw dropping, I tell you! This is colored w/ copics, then sponged with regal rose SU ink. The gingham dp is a retired one from SU. It was tough cutting that image into four squares, I have to say, but I like the final look. I added a button w/ hemp to the ribbon and some pearls on the corners of the riding hood red layer to finish it all up. I'll add a sentiment to the lower right square of the main image once I need it for an occasion.

Pink and dotted Miss Anya

I really love coloring these TGF images! They just come to life once colored! This sweet girl is from the Miss Anya collection, I believe. She's colored w/ copics and is up on dimensionals. I'll either save this for my nieces' next birthday or send it as a "just because"... they live in Japan, so we haven't seen them in two years! Gotta love the Air Force! If it's not pink or purple and sparkly, she don't want it! Ha! She's the only girl I get to shop for, well, little girl, I should say. I made this for the 7kidscollegefund blog challenge.

Sweet flower girl

***First, if you're here to see the Anni-Verve-sary Blog Hop, scroll down to the next post, please! ***

HI! I made this sweet little card for the MFT Guest Designer challenge over on SCS. The challenge is all about flowers! This is my one and only (for now!) Pure Innocence set called Are we there yet? Those PI images are *darling*! She was colored w/ copics, her purse was paper pieced (more on that in a bit) and she is also up on dimensionals. The sentiment is from the MFT set, Here's the Scoop. I colored her, oh, almost 3 weeks ago, so I was thrilled when I found this flowery dp to match her! *note to self, find the dp first, THEN color my images* The card base is SU's riding hood red and I also used some of SU's pumpkin, pink pirouette and white. The pumpkin layer was embossed and I sponged around the pink layer. I left the sentiment kind of "flying" for some extra interest. I received the buttons from some blog candy I won from Rachel and just added a little hemp to them. The layout is from Jenn D's SFYTT. Now, I mentioned her purse was paper pieced... well, the strap for her purse is a piece of hemp that I colored w/ my chocolate marker then glued in place. Here's a close up pic so you can see all of the detail:

A nice little extra touch, I think! Thanks for stopping by!

It's BLOG HOP time!!!!

Welcome to the Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop! Verve turns three today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! If you've already been hopping along, you arrived here from Verve Diva,{ Jen Tapler's } blog. If not, head on over to { Julee's Blog } (owner of Verve), for all the info on how to win prizes (after all, what's a party without presents?), and to start hopping from the beginning. If there's a hiccup along the hop, you can always head to the Master Hop List to get the full list of links.

So, here's my Verve-a-licious card!
I used two of my Verve sets, Petals and Stems and Grateful Elegance. I so adore these sets! I used the sort-of-background stamp from Grateful Elegance on the bermuda bay layer. The butterflies, from Petals and Stems, were stamped on some SU dp and cut out. The sentiment (again, from Grateful Elegance) was cut out using nesties and sponged with bermuda bay ink. The chocolate layer is up on dimensionals. And I just had to add some bling as the butterfly trails! I have to say, I was so excited to be sandwiched between two Verve divas, but now that I'm posting this, I'm a little nervous! ha!
Soooo, thanks for hopping by, hope ya like my contribution to the Verve blog hop and now it's time to hop on over to Verve diva,{ Lynda Benden's } blog, where I KNOW you'll be amazed!!!!
