Lil Inker Designs New Release Blog Hop - Day 3!

Hi all!  Welcome to the final day of the LID New Release Blog Hop!

And in case you missed it yesterday, you now have the chance to win the ENTIRE RELEASE!!!

For today's card I used the Baubled Wreath die and the Merry Christmas Border die.  Love, LOVE!!!  I used a few different shimmery papers to cut out the wreath so I had a variety to choose from when filling in all the circles.  The wreath itself was cut out of gold foil paper.  This was so fun and therapeutic to make!  :)

And did I mention you could win the ENTIRE RELEASE just by commenting along the hop!?!??!!!  How awesome is that!?  Be sure to finish up the hop over at the LID store to check out ALL of the goodies and shop, shop, SHOP :)

SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge - Coffee Solves Everything

*If you're here for the Lil Inker Designs post, please scroll down*

Hi all!  Yay for Hump Day and another SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge!  I went with the sketch and inked up the fun Caffeine Addict stamp set.  I colored the cup with Copics.  The edges of the green layer were inked up with Versamark ink - swiped might be a better word, lol!  Then I embossed it with gold embossing powder.  The steam heart was also stamped with Versamark ink.  For the sentiment, I stamped 'solves everything' with chocolate brown ink, then inked up 'Coffee', but off-stamped it once before stamping it onto the card stock.  I wanted it to be a bit lighter than the second half to the sentiment.  Clear as mud?  ;)

Lil Inker Designs New Release Blog Hop - Day 2!

Hi all!  Welcome to Day 2 of the Lil Inker Designs New Release Blog Hop!

Here is my card using the Rustic Christmas stamp set which I totally ADORE!  I embossed the rows of houses with gold embossing powder, then very lightly watercolored Zig pens.  The Merry Christmas word die *swoon* was cut out a few times then I brushed on some metallic watercolors over the top kraft layer to make it stand out even more.  So loving how it turned out!  Some ribbon and twine and BAM!  Done!

And check this out!!!  Now you can comment to win the ENTIRE OCTOBER RELEASE!!!  Say WHAAATTTT???!!!

Clearly, you won't want to miss a THING, so hop on over to LISA'S BLOG next!!!

Lil Inker Designs New Release Hop - Day 1

Hi all!  Welcome to Day 1 of the Lil Inker Designs New Release Blog Hop!

This release is CRAZY good, so let's get to it!  First up is a card I made using one of the dies from the  Brush Script Christmas Word die set.  I cut out 'Believe' out of some paper I had watercolored then adhered a piece of glittered card stock behind it.  I added the car and tree from the Rustic Christmas stamp set because they're so cute, I just had to!  :)  I then cut them out with the matching dies.

Next up is a tag I made featuring the Moody Santa Stamp set and dies.  He is so stinkin' cute and I love that the set comes with different facial expressions for him!!!  And let's not forget how hilarious the sentiments are!  I stamped the background with the mittens from the Rustic Christmas stamp set for extra interest.  I colored him with my Zig pens on watercolor paper.

As always, be sure to hop and comment along the way for your chance to win a Gift Certificate to the LID store!!!  Next up is Lisa!!!

SugarPea Designs - Mix It Up Wednesday!

Hi all!  Sorry I'm a bit late with getting my post up - the packers come today to start the final phase of our move back to the San Antonio area!!!  I'm ready to be in our 'new to us' home!  Anywho...  here's my card for this week's SPD Mix It Up Challenge!  I used the sketch to create this thank you card!  I have always loved this Undying Love stamp set and since it's October, why not make a thank you card with the zombie girl??  ;) I colored her with Copics and layered her over a sponged background. The designer paper is from the It's a Celebration paper pad.  The sentiment is from the set as well.

Be sure to head over to the SugarPea Designs Blog and play along for your chance to win!

MFTWSC301 - Are you Yeti for Christmas?

Hi all!  Here is my take on the MFTWSC301 sketch using the most adorable Yeti stamp set by MFT.  I got the set and dies from Butterfly Reflections Ink - thanks to their SUPER fast shipping, I was able to play with this set today!  I created masks for the trees and Yeti's, then stamped everything in kraft hybrid ink.  I heat set it then colored everything with Copics. For the background, I masked off a snowy hill using an element from Blueprints 25, then used Blu Raspberry, Blueberry and Grape Jelly inks for sponging.  For the circle part of the sketch, I cut out some vellum using the Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX so it didn't take away from the scene I had created.  I then curved a sentiment to match the die also from Blueprints 25.

SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge

Hi all!  Yay for Wednesday!  (not sure about you, but this week has been a bit rough so far!) and Yay for another SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge!  I use both the sketch and the inspiration pic for my card.  I used the Lovely Leaves stamp set and matching dies for my fairly Clean And Simple card.  I highlighted the sentiment with several leaves stamped in chocolate ink.  The die cut leaf was stamped in chocolate ink that was stamped off once, then stamped the inside part of the leaf with orange zest ink.

Birch Press Design & Poppystamps time!

Hi all!  I'm so excited for today because we have a special Birch Press Design and Poppystamps collaboration for you!

You should have arrived here from the Poppystamps Blog.  I fell in love with this Merry Christmas Circle Frame die as soon as I saw it!  For my first card, I cut out some paper I had watercolored and layered it a few times for extra dimension.  I rounded the corners of the front of the card, keeping it all very clean and simple.

For my second card, I cut out some silver foil paper with the Merry Christmas die, then added red card stock behind it.  I added some versa mark leaves from the Brushed Christmas Greetings stamp set from Birch Press Designs.  This would be a GREAT mass production card design - just change up the card stock colors!

Be sure to comment along the way for your chance to win.  *hint - a little birdie told me that one of the winning comments will be picked from the Birch Press Design blog*  Next up on the hop is Ilona!

Here's the entire hop list so you don't miss a thing!

Your Next Stamp New Release Blog Hop!

Hi all and Welcome to the Your Next Stamp New Release Blog Hop - Day 1!

So I am totally loving this darling Merry Christmas Chickie set!!!  I created masks for each of them, plus the 'snowy hill', so I could sponge on the blue sky then colored them all with Copics.  I don't know which is more 'me' - the one holding the coffee cup or his cold friend standing next to him in the black and red knitted scarf, lol!  I tried to color that scarf in a way that gave it more texture, like it was knitted.  ;-)  And I adore the font of the 'Merry Christmas', too!!!  The glitter strip was created by using some Scor Tape then pouring glitter onto it and pressing it in.  The colored layer is up on a foam sheet, which you can see better in the second picture.

Yep, I love those chickies!  There are so many awesome sets in this release!  And check it out --- a SALE!
