Drink and Be Merry

Hi all! Ready to gobble up some yummy food tomorrow?! I know I AM!
This is late, but here it is anyway... I made this for this week's TS Monday blog challenge which was to use two different sets together. I used Morning Margaret, which is not a Christmas set, with a sentiment from the newly released Going to Town Gus. Who knows what is in Margaret's mug, but hopefully it helps her get into the Christmas spirit! HA! With that expression on her face, I just had to add some gray roots showing through in her hair (incase you're wondering why I colored her hair that way), hehe! The sketch is from the SSSC144, I just turned the ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back later with another post! I know, right?!?!

MFT sketch time!

Hi and happy Wednesday! Time for another MFT WSC! I used the Christmas ornaments die and stamp set. The sentiment is from the latest Triple Scoop set. LOVE the fonts in that set! I embossed several different snowflakes onto the dp. I also embossed the design on the ornament and the word "Cheer" onto the little tag. HOW stinkin' cute is that tag?!?!!! Seriously! I distressed and curled some edges. That border strip is the negative, I guess you could say, from the new Crown border dienamic. Pretty cool looking, if you ask me!

The ornament topper was made using silver liquid pearls. I put a blob of it on paper, let it dry, then cut it out with the dienamic.

TS Monday - 3D projects

Hiiiii! How's everyone?! By the time you're reading this, hopefully I'm well on my way to recouping from our middle son's baseball tournament! Getting up at 5:45 am for a baseball game on a Sunday just isn't right... {we had to get up that early to allow him time to get ready, eat and get to the field 45 min. before game time... yea, good times} On to my project...
The Totally Stampalicious challenge this week is a 3D project. I HAD to make this Christmas Shopping List Holder after I saw THIS POST by the mega talented, Jessie Rone. So fun and sooo easy! Before you ask, don't you love my wonky stitching?! Yep, totally on purpose... again! The straight stitching on the bottom layer is faux {let's be real, folks...} I decided to use the newly released Margaret December because she kind of looks how I'm going to feel after all the Christmas shopping I need to do, ha! She's colored with copics and has accents of silver gel pen. I popped her up on a nestie and added some bling. The sentiment is included with her set. Did I mention we have a TOTALLY awesome sale going on that involves FREE STAMPS?!?!? Read all about it HERE...

On the inside left is more dp and a pocket to hold your receipts. On the right is a notepad for all those naughty and nice lists. :)

Thanks for taking a peek and be sure to check out what the rest of the crew has for you! {links are on the right--->}

MFTWSC45 - Happy Holidays

Hi! Here's the card I made for this week's MFT weekly sketch challenge. One more Christmas card done - wahoo! I've had this sweet PI Stocking Girl on my desk and her pj's were begging to be paper pieced! The rest of her was colored with copics and I popped her up on dimensionals. The white part of the stocking was colored in with liquid pearls. I used the medium scallop dienamics and the tag from the Tag, You're It set.

And a pic of the inside, sweet and simple:

Some satin ribbon, metal bling and MFT twine finish it up. Now, you MUST play in these weekly sketch challenges because there are PRIZES! Swing by the MFT Blog to see what crazy cool stuff the dt has made!

As always, I truly appreciate you stopping by and any comments you leave!

TS Monday - Anything goes!

Hi and Happy Monday (let's pretend, ok?!)! This week's challenge on the Totally Stampalicious Blog is Anything Goes! I decided to ink up Deacon Elf. He could NOT be cuter!!!! I originally meant to use some newer dp but I had a pack of some Basic Grey oldies but goodies sitting around and I realized they matched him better. Probably better than this photo shows. ;) He's up on pop dots and was colored with copics. I used a gold spica pen to color in parts of the gifts. Lots of layering and a little bling in the border dienamic finish it up.

Yay for another Christmas card done! Thanks for stopping by and do NOT forget to take a peek at what the rest of the dt has for you - some yummy eye candy, fo' sho'!!!! Just click HERE...

Have a great week!

Trio of Christmas cards

Hi all! I wanted to share this little set of 4x4 Christmas cards I made using new stamps from the latest Totally Stampalicious! release. Can you say ADORABLE?! I used the same layout for all of them, used different border dienamics and highlighted the with some bling. All images were colored with copics. I also added some pearl Smooch to the white parts of all the hats for extra shimmer.

And close ups of each:

Craft room wall art and AWESOME NEWS!

Hi all! TGIF, right?! Not that I won't have a busy weekend - one of my younguns' has a baseball tournament. Good times...
I wanted to share the project I made for the most recent MFT guest designer challenge! I'm SO proud of it especially because I WON!!!!!!! Yeah, baby! The challenge was to Bling It On. I started this piece on Friday and didn't finish until Monday. I just kept having to walk away and think about it... it needed to be just right. Not gawdy or tacky. I wanted it to be classy enough that any crafter out there would be happy to have it hanging in their craft space. The sentiment is from their You Move Me set {adore it!}. I broke it up and cut it out using the dienamic that comes with the set. The flowers were made using their new loopy bloom die {fun!} in colors that matched the dp. I added bling to several of the petals and also sprayed them with gold glimmer mist. The leafy flourishes were cut out of matching dp and I added some bling to parts of them, as well. I used the open bracket border and the postage border dienamics under the flower dp (which is up on dimensionals) and added LOTS 'O BLING to them. More bling here and there and some glitttery velvet ribbon finish it off.

Detail shot:

And another:

And yes, if you saw this on Splitcoast, these pics are different. I just broke out my OLD (I'm talking over 6 yrs old!) point and shoot camera instead of using my dslr. These pics came out clearer, I think, which is better for posting here and on SCS.

Thanks for taking a peek. I have one more card to finish up for a set I made for the latest TS Monday challenge, which I am obviously super late for! So stay tuned...
