A mouse for ya!

I got this sweet little image from my friend, Stacy, who just started bloggin' (hehe, welcome to the *dark* side!) and has a challenge posted on her blog today!!! The link is on the sidebar----> so go check it out!!
I colored everything with SU markers (still fighting the Copic craze...). The sentiment is from Verve. I think this is a cool layout and I'm liking these colors, even if one of them is Orchid!!
See ya!
card info: stamps ~ house mouse, verve. paper ~ banana, orchid, olive dp, ww. ink ~ black. access. ~ punch, piercer, markers, taffeta ribbon.

Elzy sketch

Here's my card I made for this weeks' Sketch Challenge and one of the *dare to be dirty* challenges on SCS. Elzybell's are some of the sweetest little stamps! I watercolored her dress and the "sky" around her, but everything else was colored with SU markers. Had to add piercing (you KNOW i love my piercer!), some gingham and thought a button in the corner was a perfect touch.
Thanks for stoppin in and I should have more goodies to upload later!!
card info: stamps ~ elzybell's(thanks for the image, Billie!), short and sweet by SU. paper ~ saffron, bashful, pixie pink and pink passion, ww. ink ~ pixie pink, bashful, black. access. ~ markers, button, piercer, gingham.

Amazing Vanilla Sky Day

Wasn't that a weird movie, Vanilla Sky? My love for Tom Cruise slowly declined after that one!
So this is the card I made for the color challenge on SCS ~ river rock, sky, and vanilla. The only river rock on here is the sentiment. I also made this for one of the Dirty Girl challenges for this week, to use vellum. Look closely at the flowers ~ the centers are vellum flowers using an SU punch. I used a corner rounder on one edge of the sentiment and pierced around the larger layer. BTW, the only stamping on this is the sentiment, which is from DRS Designs. The dp is from the Afternoon Tea dsp from SU. Ok, off to see if I can squeeze some stampin' in today!

Busy weekend and AWESOME NEWS!!!!

We left early Saturday to go to Gainesville for my mil's wedding ceremony. It was beautiful and we got to visit with family, some of whom were my sil and her hubby, plus my neice and nephew. They're moving to Japan in a couple of months and I'm sad that we won't get to see them much over the next 4 yrs.
While we were gone, I got a double dose of good, no GREAT news!!! First, I found out that I made the drsdesigns design team!!!! My first one!!! Whohooooo, as my friend, Stacy, would say!!!
Second, I found out later that evening that I made the elzybells design team, too!!!!!!!!! OMWORD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you say *freaking out*?????? I was beginning to think I'd never make one dt, now I'm on TWO!!!! I'm just as happy as can be right now and look forward to sharing lots of *goodies* from these 2 awesome companies!!!!! I seriously love them both (duh, that's why I applied for their dt's!!!) and am thrilled to be working with them and the great teams they've selected!!!
Now, time to stamp!!!!

Amethyst doodle

Such a yummy color combo, doncha think? I hardly use this set anymore, so I thought I would to see if I still want it. That's up in the air, but I am happy with this card. I masked the flower and colored it with SU markers. I'm going to have to breakdown and buy the SU scallop edge punch. I'm sure it'll be much easier to line up than using my corner rounder ;} . Also trying to use up my hardware that will be retiring soon. Added some piercing to finish it off. Ok, two in one day, not too bad, huh?! It's getting late, see y'all tomorrow!

New fall/winter 2008 schtuff!!

I finally had a chance to play with my new stuff! I used Julee's mojo46 sketch and the TLC177 from Splitcoast for this card. I'm not 100% sure about how well I like it, but it's done and I got to try out some of the new colors. I *love* the new Riding Hood Red ~ the perfect red, I believe. I also cut into the Bella Rose dp (the larger patterned chocolate layer). Fun, fun! I'm getting so anxious to see the new catty ~ less than a month away! We demos already got a peek at 2 new punches! Yay!! Ok, off to stamp more ~ I need the *therapy*!!

Piece out, baby!

Today's color challenge was Guava, Banana and Chocolate Chip. Sounds kinda yummy, huh? Anyway, I grabbed the MFT set, Here's the Scoop, and decided I'd do some paper piecing. Well, *some* turned into *a lot*!!! Everything on the main image was paper pieced except for the wall, spoon, scoop of ice cream and the ice cream container. Yes, her arms, even her feet are paper pieced! I used the Afternoon Tea DSP from the SU Occasions Mini. I had stamped the image onto the sheet that looks like the wall paper, then pieced everything on top of that. I used the ice cream cone from the same set for the border on the middle strip. I colored it in with my SU banana marker. The sketch is from Julee's Mojo Monday 45. I think I'd like to try another card with this color combo and see how it comes out.
Thanks for stoppin' by!!

Hmmm, what do ya think?

First of all, Happy Fourth of July everybody!!!! I know, it's almost over! Just squeezing in some blog time before I get to bed.
Second, what do you think of the new banner??? Too bold? Seriously, I wanna know! I took this pic of this little flower in the flower pot outside my front door today. I used the color swap option on my camera and thought it came it kinda cool, so I decided to play around with it for a bit. Ok, let me know what ya think ~ keep it or put the other one back up???
Hoping to stamp tomorrow before we go to my middle one's baseball tournament. If not, then I'll have to wait til Sunday evening!!! Hope everyone had a safe 4th and a wonderful weekend!!

Purely Wild Blessings

Here's my card for today's CC ~ pomegranate, wasabi, and celery. This stamp from drsdesigns.com is such fun to color! I watercolored using pomegranate and wasabi inks, then went over some areas of the leaves with my SU celery marker. I outlined the entire thing using my SU banana marker ~ I think it gives the image that same *pop* that using a grey marker does. The sentiment is part of a larger Thanksgiving sentiment , also from DRS Designs. And of course, had to add my usual piercing.
Thanks for stopping by!!
