Make A Wish

Hi all!  Here's a card I made for the SugarPea Designs SugarSketch 29.  I love a good sketch and just couldn't pass this one up!  I adore this super cute dragon from their Blow Me Away stamp set.  I colored her with Copics and also used the colorless blender to add extra spots ;)  I fussy cut the image, then popped it up on foam adhesive, then did the same for the piece of cake she's holding.  The sentiment is also from the set.  I stamped the words separately so it would fit on the banner.  A button with twine and several YNS gumdrops finish it up.

I think you're wild

Hi all!  Here's a card I made using some Reverse Confetti stamps and dies.  I used their current Sketch for the layout.  The image and sentiment are from the super cute set Later Alligator and then I used the matching dies to cut my gator out.  I colored him with Copics, adding spots with a darker green and also the colorless blender for more dimension.  The orange fizz layer was cut out with the Woodgrain Confetti Cuts, but I needed it smaller, so I just trimmed down the edges.  I added a layered star garland and some gumdrops for extra details.

29 again?

Hi all!  Here's a card I made using the new TAWS Flap Happy set, along with a sentiment from the FREE when you spend $40 set called Party Pooper.  I decided to make this guy cooler and gave him shades.  ;) He's colored with Copics, then fussy cut.  I created the background with two different Ranger distress markers and the 'smooshing' technique then cut it out with some MFT STAX.  The sentiment is embossed.  I also made this for the Curtain Call Challenge - Shades.

Hello, Sunshine

Hi all!  Here's my card for the MFTWSC244.  I love this hula girl from the BB Polynesian Paradise set.  I used one of the images to create a background then added some black thread behind her.  It kind of gives the feeling of movement.  ;)

Hip Hip Hooray!

Hi all!  Here's a CAS card I made using the new It's My Party stamp set from TAWS.  The turtles in this set are SO stinkin' cute!  I colored him with Copics, then fussy cut him.  I had to add some red polka dots to the present he's holding.  ;)  A few red gumdrops add extra detail.  The sketch is the CTS139.

Sending happy your way

Hi all!  Here's a card I made for the CTD358 challenge, as well as the MFT Card Design Superstar contest.  For the background, I inked up the MFT scallops stencil with some Ranger blueprint sketch distress ink, spritzed it with water, then laid a piece of smooth white card stock on top and lightly pressed all over.  I then lifted the card stock and used my heat gun to dry the ink.  I decided I wanted to add more texture so I added more water droplets, blotted a bit with a paper towel, then dried it again.  I then cut the piece out with my cross-stitch rectangle STAX and layered it over blueberry prestige card stock (which matched the ink perfectly!).  I added some circle scribble flower dies, inking up the leaves with jellybean green ink, then layered them over the embossed sentiment from the Totally Happy stamp set.  I added some BRI sequins to help add to the embellishment cluster.

You make me Smile

Hi all!  Here's a card I made using the newly release TAWS set called Big Time.  I seriously love the oversized words in the set - perfect for so many techniques!  For this card, I had cut out 3 different sized circle out of a piece of acetate, then I used the acetate as a mask, sponging ink from the outer edge towards the center.  I saw Francine do this technique a while back and knew I'd try it someday.  It's pretty simple but makes a big impact.  The word 'Smile' is embossed with black EP.  I used some black striped DP behind the main layer, then added some sequins from Butterfly Reflections Ink.
