YNS DT Dare Challenge!

Hi all!  I'm joining the Your Next Stamp DT Dare Blog challenge today - Color Me Happy!   Ready to see one of the cutest bunnies ever?  Here ya go!  I colored the Yummy Cupcake Bunny image with Copics, then fussy cut it.  It is layered over some watercolor paper that I had embossed the Mini Alpha Splatter stamp onto then swiped on some oxide distress ink to make the letters pop!  I added a few Candy Land Glittered gumdrops.  Isn't the sentiment darling?

Your Next Stamp New Release Blog Hop!

Hi all!  I'm thrilled to be joining Your Next Stamp for their New Release Blog Hop!

There are lots of FUN new goodies for you to see and I'm sure you will love the Party Pets stamp set!  I colored two of the images with Copics then fussy cut them.  I sponged a background with pink and purple inks, spritzed it with water, then layered the images and a purple strip of card stock with foam adhesive.  This set also has some awesome sentiments!

Now here's more fun news:  ***Note, the blog hop prize is bigger $80.00!!!   AND there is a party game going on throughout the hop, participants are asked to count the gumdrops on our creations as they go and then input the total # in the special inlinkz on the YNS Blog at the end of the hop. Your Next Stamp - DT Dare - Square

Hi all!  Here is my card for the Your Next Stamp DT Dare for this month which is to create a Square project.  I made this little 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch square card - perfect for classmates, or your students, etc.  Nice and simple!  I used the newly released Holiday Buddies stamp set.

Your Next Stamp New Release Blog Hop!

Hi all and Welcome to the Your Next Stamp New Release Blog Hop - Day 1!

 So I am totally loving this darling Merry Christmas Chickie set!!!  I created masks for each of them, plus the 'snowy hill', so I could sponge on the blue sky then colored them all with Copics.  I don't know which is more 'me' - the one holding the coffee cup or his cold friend standing next to him in the black and red knitted scarf, lol!  I tried to color that scarf in a way that gave it more texture, like it was knitted.  ;-)  And I adore the font of the 'Merry Christmas', too!!!  The glitter strip was created by using some Scor Tape then pouring glitter onto it and pressing it in.  The colored layer is up on a foam sheet, which you can see better in the second picture.

Yep, I love those chickies!  There are so many awesome sets in this release!  And check it out --- a SALE!

Your Next Stamp - New Release Preview Day!

Hi all!  I'm so EXCITED to be guest designing for Your Next Stamp this month!  It's like stamping with an old friend ;-)  Today is our New Release Preview Day!  

I have this sweet Cup of Happiness stamp set that also has matching dies!  I colored the cup with Copics, then layered it over a watercolored background and added a sentiment from the set.

Your Next Stamp - Feature Day!

Hi all!  We are featuring Christmas and winter themed projects over on the YNS Blog today!  'Tis the season ;)

I decided to go for a White Christmas feel using the AWESOME dies from the Gingerbread House Die Set!  There are so many fabulous little elements in this set!  I had so much fun making this card!  I also used the hills die set - to make the two rows of hills I die cut a piece of smooth white card stock which gives you two hills!  I just flipped one around so the hills 'rolled' in opposite directions.  Clear as mud, lol?  The sentiment is from the Winter Home set , which I thought went perfectly with this scene, and is stamped in Steel Blue ink.

YNS Fun Friday - Coffee + Friends

Hi all!  Here's my card using this month's Inspiration Photo on the Your Next Stamp challenge blog.  Again, I used the Thanks a Latte set - it's just so FUN and has matching dies, what's not to love?!  I stamped one of the cute little faces from the set on the belly band that was cut out with some DP.  I layered the cup onto a tag, added some thread, buttons and other dies for interest.  Even the little heart over the plus sign is from this set!  So sweet.  :)  The sketch is the retro sketches rs136.

YNS Fun Friday - Sailor Birthday

Hi all!  Happy Friday!  It's time for a new Your Next Stamp Fun Friday Challenge!  I decided to go with the sketch challenge and used this cute Little Sailor Boy digital stamp.  I colored him with Copics, then fussy cut him and popped him up on rolled up glue dots.  I used a couple of my star die-namics to cut out parts of the dp, then filled them with navy blue stars.  A few brads, thread and an anchor add the finishing touches.

For my project, I used one of my favorite YNS Digital Stamps, Sweet Spring.  I colored it with Copics then added some clouds with a stencil and Sno Cone ink.  I added the die-namic, Celebrate, because that's what this hop is ALL about!!!  ;)  The little tab and die-namic button help pick up some of the colors in the flowers.  The sketch is from the June Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen theme!  You really should check out the Dirty Dozen gallery - SO worth the membership price!!!

This happy little digi is called Surprise and I totally love it!  I have three boys, so this image really calls out to me.  I colored it with copics, adding a dotted background again because they are SO fun (you really should try it!)!!  

Here's a look at the full card.  I used Karen Giron's SSSC213 sketch.  The banner was a must, which I created with die-namics and white twine.  The larger panel and digi are both up on foam adhesives.  I used several die-namics (circle STAX, mini pennants, and Blueprints 13 to name a few) and finished it up with two big silver brads.

Your Next Stamp Fun Friday and SACC - Have a great day!

Hi all!  Here's my card for the YNS Fun Friday challenge using this month's sketch.  I also made this for our weekly anything goes challenge at SACC.  I used this new digi, Blossom Birds, which I colored with my copics.  I went with the typical little brown bird I see so often in Texas, but they're still cute ;)  I used my circle STAX to cut it out and attached it with pop dots.  I thought the woodgrain background stamp in pink lemonade would be appropriate with the birdies.  I added some grapesicle leaves from the washi patterns set.  A white twill ribbon bow, scallops and pearls add the finishing details.
