A merry Flourish challenge

Hi again! Aaahhh, don't you just love holidays? Time off from work, spending time with your family and oh, yea, STAMPING time! Lots to be thankful for!
Here's a card I made for the Flourishes blog challenge FTTC94. I ordered this new set, Christmas Classics a couple of weeks ago and it has been calling my name! Love this set with it's classic images and sweet sentiments. I paper pieced the stockings and colored the rest copics and SU markers. I added frosted lace stickles to the white parts of the stockings. The sentiment was spritzed with some marshmallow glimmer mist.
Thanks for stopping by!

hugs,

Last but not least...

This boy...

is the baby, but don't call him that!
is obsessed with Storm Troopers... slightly. ;)
is so full of energy!
has the sweetest puppy dog eyes that may or may not have gotten him out of trouble a time or two.
says the most random things.
is very competitive, as are the other two.
is the perfect piece to complete our little family circle.

Stay tuned... I actually have a card to upload! Yikes, I know!

Now this boy...

Is the sweetest middle child... ever.
Is turning ten on Saturday.
Is more thoughtful and considerate than most people.
Is a perfectionist.
Is an awesome baseball player!
Makes me proud every day.

Happy Birthday, sweet pea.

This boy...

Is a ham!
Is making me feel old, now that he's a teenager.
Is smart.
Is a cancer survivor!
Is stronger than he realizes sometimes (see above!).
Is part of the reason I don't get to stamp much, but that's okay because he's awesome and there's nothing I'd rather do than watch him kick butt on the baseball field.

Dessert Rose sketchy card

Oh my, I know it's been a loooong time since my last post. Not by choice, trust me!
Here's a card I made today for Julee's MOJO159 challenge. I used the small butterfly from Verve's Blue Skies set - cut it out and added stickles to it. The sentiment is from Flourishes (couldn't find one of my Verve sentiment sets! bummer!). I cuttlebugged the layer under the butterfly and the top part of the rose red layer. Love this lace ribbon I got during my last trip to A's. Added a button w/ silver cording for some extra detail.

Do pearls go with gingham?

Well, I think so! At least on this card, ha! Kind of an elegant country look, no? I made this for Flourishes new release blog challenge to make a card inspired by a games that kids play. I went with four square. I'd never heard of it before, but my boys have loved playing it at school for a couple of years now.
This is my first card with one of my newest Flourishes stamps. And btw, have you seen their new Sunflower set????!!! Jaw dropping, I tell you! This is colored w/ copics, then sponged with regal rose SU ink. The gingham dp is a retired one from SU. It was tough cutting that image into four squares, I have to say, but I like the final look. I added a button w/ hemp to the ribbon and some pearls on the corners of the riding hood red layer to finish it all up. I'll add a sentiment to the lower right square of the main image once I need it for an occasion.

Pink and dotted Miss Anya

I really love coloring these TGF images! They just come to life once colored! This sweet girl is from the Miss Anya collection, I believe. She's colored w/ copics and is up on dimensionals. I'll either save this for my nieces' next birthday or send it as a "just because"... they live in Japan, so we haven't seen them in two years! Gotta love the Air Force! If it's not pink or purple and sparkly, she don't want it! Ha! She's the only girl I get to shop for, well, little girl, I should say. I made this for the 7kidscollegefund blog challenge.
