You Bring Me Joy

Hi all! Here's a card I made for a couple of challenges on SCS. I used MFT's Precious Little Lamb - Where Flowers Bloom. I added some texture to his fur with a Le Plume white gel pen. The rest of him was colored with copics.

The sentiment was cut out with one of the mini tab dienamics. Some silver brads, a white corrugated heart (cut out using another dienamic) and a button with some twine finish off this card.
The sentiment is fitting as my last card of 2011 because all of you who stop by my blog, whether you leave comments or not, certainly do bring me joy! I wish you all MUCH JOY in the new year!!! Be safe!

CAS Christmas cards

Ok, I'm pretty positive these are the last Christmas cards I'll be posting for the year... I just couldn't resist inking up and coloring these CUTIES!!! I couldn't resist getting this HoHoHo set from There She Goes. The sketch is from the Clean and Simple challenge from SCS. These were all colored with copics, added a button and twine, and some glittery "snow". The "Merry Christmas" and "Merry & Bright" are from MFT.

As always, thanks for stopping by! I don't know about y'all, but I am definitely ready for Christmas!!!! :D

Sick of Christmas cards yet?!

I sure hope not! LOL! Here's one I made using one of the sweet new PI's from MFT. The sketch is their WSC50. I gave her a glam look by making the top part of her dress all glittery and the coloring the bottom part with copics so it looks satiny. She's cut out and on pop dots.

I used twill for the middle part of the sketch. The extra holly leaves were cut out using the Christmas Ornaments dienamics. Here's a peek at the inside:

TS Monday -Sparkle and Bling!

Hi all! This week's challenge on the Totally Stampalicious blog is to add some sparkle or bling to your project! I added bling to a lot of the corners and along the sides of the layer under the main one. I also used a gold spica pen to color in her boots - SO shimmery!

Lots of sponging on here, too! Thanks for taking a peek! And don't forget, Totally Stampalicious has an AWESOME SPECIAL going on now, so don't miss out!!!

TS Monday - Eat, drink and be Merry!

Hi and Happy Monday! Can you believe how close we are to Christmas?! Wow, I know I can't! Here's my card for this week's Totally Stampalicious challenge which is to have some type of food and/or drink on your card. Uh, can't go wrong with a big ol' cup of cocoa! Love this sweet image called Poppi Cocoa. He's colored with copics and is up on pop dots. My sweet 8 y.o. loved how I colored the cup and wanted me to color one for him like that because it looks like a "real shiny cup". So sweet!
I kept the layout simple and just added some small scallop dienamic borders at the top and bottom. Some satin ribbon with a MS snowflake punch, part of the fringed perennial dienamic and a pearl add the finishing touches. The whole main layer is also up on pop dots. Here's a peek of the inside where I've stamped one of the sentiments from this set, more dp and another small scallop border. Now head on over and check out the rest of the dt's creations! And don't forget about the fabulous special going on over at TS! It's a great time to do a little Christmas shopping for your favorite stamper - YOURSELF! *wink*

Snow Much Love in blue

Hi ya! Here's a card I made for the latest Mojo sketch and for Sue's VSN challenge on SCS, which is to make a Christmas card using blues. I just love this newly released Frosty stamp by MFT! He's colored with copics and is up on pop dot. The sentiment, also from that set, was cut out using a Verve oval die. I added a MS punched snowflake and brad. A little piercing around the popped up main layer and done!

Thanks for stopping by! See you in the morning with a new Totally Stampalicious blog challenge!

MFT WSC49 - Feel Better

Hi! Everyone recoup from the release party and shopping?! Ha! Well, here's my last hoorah as guest dt... I had this sweet Fred Bear Gives Comfort colored and ready to go for a few days now and decided to save him for the sketch. Is he not the sweetest?! He's colored with copics. I used like a dotted technique to give his fur some depth and dimension. I used the circle from the Fishtail Banner dienamic behind the big, fancy brads. The sentiment was cut out with the newly release Mix & Match Banner dienamic. You can only see a little of it, but I also used the Scallop Ribbon border dienamic.

A peek at the inside... Here I've used the crown border and just stamped Fred's sweet face peeking around the corner.

Thanks for stopping by! Off to the mall - wish me luck!

Cup of Tea?

Well, hello again and welcome to the MFT Product Tour! I'm featuring the Always Time for Tea dienamics and stamp set. You have GOT to get your hands on this set and the matching dienamics! It is loaded with so many wonderful sentiments in a delicious font, plus fun flourishes and several stamps to let you decorate your tea pot and cup however you wish! FUN!!! First, this card measures 9 1/4" x 4", so it fits a standard business sized envelope. I wanted a lot of space to work with and haven't made a long card in forever, so I thought this would do the trick! I may have gone overboard on the girly-ness of this one! Don't all those rows of scallops remind you of the little girl under pants with the ruffles on the bottom?? Hehe! I did a lot of faux stitching with my rose red marker {a plus of "faux" stitching - you can pick any color 'thread' you want, whenever you want!}. There's a strip of the gingham dp that I cut out with the small scallop dienamic (told you I was obsessed!) and attached it to the bottom of the sentiment. And yep, I have another strip of it on the left side but that piece was cut out with the postage stamp edge dienamic and has a strip of pink small scallops under it. The tea pot was added to the Vintage Cameo frame dienamic using pop dots. Other finishing touches are antique butons, honeydew twine and some fancy flourishes cut out of sour apple MFT felt.

For the inside I added a matching cup, saucer and spoon. Notice the steam coming up from the hot tea? *love* And notice the flourishes in the opposite corner? *double love*
Detail shot...
Another detail shot...
And now... the time has come... Ok, sorry, I was about to get all "Elvis" on ya! Ha! But seriously, I'm sad to see my guest dt gig come to an end. It's always SO MUCH FUN!!! Thanks beaucoup and bunches for ALL of your sweet and encouraging comments!!! *sniff* Before I get all sappy on ya, head on over to MFT to get your hands on all the new goodies!!! Happy Shopping and until next time... ;)

I decided to add to my Christmas decorations and made a super cute little banner using the Mix & Match Banner dienamics and the By the Letters dienamics. This didn't take long at all! I chose two of the banner shapes and just alternated them. I punched little holes in each corner and threaded some silver cord (because I have like a gazillion yards of it!) through it. I also added little accents to some of the pieces with the Christmas Ornaments dienamics because MFT is cool like that and makes everything work together! ;) You can see them better on the close up pics. Oh, and I added a couple of pieces from the Fringed Perennial dienamics, too! How easy would it be to make one for every occasion?!!! You can add a banner to a gift bag to dress it up, add it to a present, makes one for your child's teacher to hang in her classroom - the possibilities are endless, I tell ya!!!

And incase you're wondering, the banner is hanging in my dining room. I think it looks perfect in there! Goodness, I'm so excited for the release party but also sad because that mean my guest designer stint is coming to an end... *sniff*... Be sure to come back for the Product Tour where everyone will have even MORE yumminess for you to drool over!

Hugs,

TS Monday - Snow time!

*** This is my 2nd post of the day ~ the MFT Teaser post is below***

Well, hello again! I'm back for the Totally Stamp
alicious blog challenge which is to use snow on your project. I had to ink up these cuties, Deacon and Ava HoHo. The "HOHO" is paper pieced and everything else was colored with copics. I added some liquid applique to the little snowflakes around them. I also used a Martha Stewart snowflake to the center of my loopy bloom dienamic. The sentiment is from the Deacon Elf set.

I loved the December SFYTT sketch, so had to try it out! Thanks for taking a peek and don't forget the AWESOME sale going on at Totally Stampalicious!!!

MFT Teaser - day 6

Hi all! Guess what today is?!?! Yep, it's Pure Innocence Teaser Day!!! Wahoooo! I can not WAIT to show you my cards, but there's some important info you might need to know:

  • You can attend the New Release Party on December 6th from 8-10 PM EST HERE in the MFT forum, where you can enjoy fun, games, and PRIZES!

First up is the Heart Warmer PI. I just adore this little guy! Now, as cute as he is, doesn't mean he can't be up to "snow" good! HA! Don't ya just love that sentiment?! He does come with one little pile of snowballs, but of course, I had to make him a whole mound if he was going to be up to no good, er, snow, good. I broke up the sentiment and cut it out with the mini pennant dienamics whose exact name escapes me. He's up on pop dots and was paper pieced, obviously. The sketch is from Karen G's SSSC146. I also used the small scallop border die (slightly obsessed!) and the dizzy doily duo dienamics.

My second card features the Cause for Celebration PI. I had to use her because I'm a New Year's baby! She's colored with copics. For her dress, I was going for that fancy satiny look. The sketch is an older from from Deconstructed Jen's blog. I wanted the crown border dienamic to peek up over the top, so the actual card base was cut a little shorter so it's still a standard A2 card size. And because she's out celebrating at night, I thought the new Skyline border dienamic was fitting!

And a close up of the cutie!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

MFT Teasers - day 5

Hi and Happy Sunday! Haven't you just been so amazed by all of the teasers?!?! Those MFT gals are one super-talented bunch! Ok, you know the drill... first the important info...

Here are the details about the upcoming release on December 6 at 10 PM EST:

  • You can attend the New Release Party on December 6th from 8-10 PM EST HERE in the MFT forum, where you can enjoy fun, games, and PRIZES!

It's A la Mode day and I have the new Ski Bunny for you! Goodness, how sweet is she?! I love this red and bright pink color combo with pops of white. I paper pieced part of her hat and jacket, her pants and who wouldn't love a set of plaid skis?!?! lol! The rest of her and the background were colored with copics. I cut her out using the Clearly Sentiment dienamic (perfect size for these slim ladies!) and popped it up on pop dots. I used a craft knife to cut along the bottom part of the skis and her boots so it looks like she's standing in snow, which I made using the small scallop border dienamics (just got it in the mail yesterday, and oh my word, i love it already!). I pulled a Jody and cut up the sentiment so I could stamp each word separately on one of the Mix & Match Banner dienamics. I added lots of twine, faux stitching ('cause my sewing machine died, sniff!) and also cut out some Fringed Perennial flowers which all have button centers. The layout is mine... just knew I wanted to use a circle and everything else fell into place. The circles are layered on the largest of the dizzy doily duo dienamics.

Here's a close up of the large Fringed Perennial dienamic and the "snow" around her boot and skis. I used a glue pen around the entire main image and also on the "snow mounds" (which is the small scallop border dienamic cut out twice) to add some glitter.

Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Today we're featuring the All-Star dienamics and stamp set and the Always Time for Tea dienamics and stamp set! I went with the All-Star dienamics and stamp set because, well, I have boys and am usually in need of boy cards! I about flipped when I saw this set and matching dienamics!!! Sooo right up my alley! Here's a pic of the set with the dienamics:

And now for my trio of 4 x 4 cards I made using it:

Close up of the baseball card:

And the football card:

And the basketball card:

I went with the same layout and used a few elements on all three such as some corrugated paper, brads and stars. I used the new Mix and Match Banners dienamics and the new By the Letters dienamics! These are SOOO versatile, I know I'll be using them tons!!! The word "Star" was stamped out using the Banner Day Alphabet.

As always, thanks for stopping by and have a FABULOUS weekend!

MFT Teasers - day 3

Hiya! Who's ready for day 3 of MFT Teasers?!!!! Yea, I thought so! ;) But first...

Here are the details about the upcoming release on December 6 at 10 PM EST:

  • You can attend the New Release Party on December 6th from 8-10 PM EST HERE in the MFT forum, where you can enjoy fun, games, and PRIZES!

  • The MFT release, including all new stamp sets and Die-namics, is on December 6 at 10 PM EST. You'll find all the newest products HERE at release time.

Today I'm featuring this mont's Triple Scoop Set, Pearls of Wisdom. It's loaded with such wonderful sentiments! The dp is from the Simple Stories Baby Steps 6x6 paper pad. Yep, it's baby themed but I loved the soft color palette for this card. I stamped one sentiment onto the dp then cut it out using the Decorative Doily Oval dienamic. I left most of the fancy little cut out pieces in to kind of give it a different look, then ran some hemp through the edges. Again, I used a few pieces from the new Fringed Perennial dienamic for the three circular embellies. There are copic colored pearls in the centers. I braided some MFT honeydew twine (I don't have girls, so I have to do girly things like braiding whenever I can, hehe!)and added it to the embossed sahara panel which is edged with the medium scallop dienamics. For the inside, I used the negative of the medium scallop dienamic, stamped another awesome sentiment from the Pearls of Wisdom set and added more chocolate (colored with copics) pearls. And if you're wondering, this card measure 5 x 5.

I know we still have a few more days of teasers to go, but I wanted to say how sincerely grateful I am for each and every comment!!! Reading them just makes me SO happy!

Enjoy the rest of the teasers from the utterly amazing MFT team!

Hugs,
