TAWS New Release Blog Hop!

Hi all!  Welcome to the TAWS New Release Blog Hop!  My card today features the new set called Old School.  I love this set!!!  Maybe because I grew up in the 80s when these games were popular ;) I tried to recreate the game and used YNS gumdrops as the 'power' buttons (or whatever they were called).

Sending you a big bear hug

Hi all!  Here's a card I made for fun using the latest MFT sketch - MFTWSC234.  This is my first time inking up the new Happy Pandas stamp set I got from Butterfly Reflections Ink.  I inked up the bamboo with kraft and sour apple inks, then masked them off and stamped two of the pandas from the set.  The third cutie hanging off the sentiment strip was fussy cut and popped up on foam adhesive.  I used a couple of the elements in the Blueprints 20 and Blueprints 3 to cut out some of the layers.  The YNS stitched rectangle dies were used for the panda layer.

The Alley Way Stamps - Sneak Peek Day 1!!!

Hi all!  Welcome to the TAWS Sneak Peek Day 1!!!  Today we are featuring the new set called Cha Cha Cha.  There are SO many fun images and sentiments in this set!  I used the cactus images and created a sunset scene.  I colored the cacti with Copics and used my Zig pens and an aqua painter on some watercolor paper for the background.  I used black card stock for the layering to make the bright colors pop.

YNS Fun Friday - Have a cool birthday!

Hi all! Happy Friday!  Here's my card for this week's YNS Fun Friday sketch and color challenges.  I actually used both challenges for my card! I used an image from the Waddles - Happy Brrr-thday stamp set and matching dies. I colored him with Copics and popped him up on foam adhesives.  I used the stitched rectangle dies for a couple of the layers. A few olive green gumdrops add a little extra detail

I miss you, beach

Hi all!  I wanted to share this card I made for the MFT School - Quiet Space lesson.  This is the first time I've had to ink up the Penguins in Paradise set - it's so stinkin' cute!  I stamped the palm tree and beach ball with Versamark ink and embossed with clear EP.  I used my Zig pens and my Aquapainter to create the rest of the scene.  And really, I'm telling the beach that I miss it.  Seriously.  We lived in Hawaii for 3 years and I enjoyed every minute of it.  ;)

Sweet Wishes

Hi all!  Here's a card I made using an image and sentiment from the Slurp stamp set.  I decided to color these to look like orange Creamsicles (yum!).  I stamped them on watercolor paper and used my Zig pens to color them.  I then fussy cut them and popped them up on some contrasting DP so they really popped!  I used YNS stitched dies on the white layering and a pierced fishtail flag STAX for the sentiment.  A few YNS clear gumdrops add a little something extra.  I also made this for The Paper Players current challenge HERE.

Snail Mail

Hi all!  Here's a card I made using two TAWS sets - Lite Brite and the larger snail and 'snail mail' sentiment from Twinkle Toes.  I colored this little guy with Copics and added glossy accents to his shell.  For the 'Hello' background, I used a large acrylic block and a pencil to draw lines on a piece of smooth white card stock to use as a guide for stamping each work.  The inks I used are Sno Cone, Jellybean Green and Blueberry.  A couple of olive gumdrops and done.  :D

YNS Feature Day - HB2U Critter

Hi all!  Happy Monday!  (ok, let's just pretend, ha!)  We have another feature day for you over on the YNS Blog and this time, it's all about our cute critters!  I decided to use the cutest fox out there from the Woodland Cuties stamps set, along with the matching die.  He's colored with Copics and popped up on foam adhesive.  I used one of the stitched rectangle dies to cut out the DP layer.  The sentiment is also from this set.  When I placed it on my acrylic block, I curved it just enough so that it went along the curve of the banner.  A few gumdrops from the new Mermaid Fun collection and done.  :D

Make a bright wish!

Hi all!  Here's a fun card I made using a sentiment from Lite Brite with an image from the Slurp stamp set.  I made the background with two distress inks and lots of water spritzing and heat drying and more spritzing and more drying.  Fun stuff, I tell ya!  The image is embossed with black EP and I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens to color it in.  I stamped the sentiment separately onto fishtail flag STAX, leaving the ends loose then flipped them up a little just for fun.  The colors are from the CTD347 challenge.

YNS Fun Friday - Let's chat

Hi all!  Happy Friday!  Time for a new sketch and inspiration pic challenge over on the YNS Blog!  I decided to use the sketch and had to break out my little owl friend from the Need Coffee set.  Because I love him.  He is me in the morning.  Plain and Simple.  ;)  I decided to make him a light gray owl using my Zig pens again.  I used the stitching marks circle die set for the circles in the sketch.  The larger DP layer was cut out with the largest of the stitched rectangle dies.  The sentiment is embossed with white EP.  I added a few ivory gumdrops to finish it off.

Shaker thanks

Hi all!  Here's a card I made using a sentiment from the newly released TAWS set called Lite Brite.  I stamped it in versa mark on black card stock then embossed it with white EP.  The background inside the shaker was created using a few different distress markers.  I picked a color, swiped it a few times on my acrylic block, spritzed it with water, then laid my smooth white card stock over it.  Repeated with different colors, drying each one with my heat gun before going to the next.  I decided to use this picture because it shows those background colors better.  The star sequins are from Tinsel & Co.

YNS DT Dare - Sunny Birthday Princess

Hi all!  Halfway through the week - yay!  This month's YNS DT Dare is all about sunny days!  I decided to use lots of sunny yellow on my tall and skinny card!  (measures approximately 6.25 x 3.5 inches)  This image is from the newly released Little Darling Belle stamp set, as well as the sentiment.  This set has all you need to make your own princess party invitations!  I colored her with Copics and added some sparkle to her dress, bow and all of the stars using my clear Wink of Stella pen.

You can see the sparkly in this pic...

Feel better, sunshine!

Hi all!  Here's a very CAS card using images from the newly released set called Twinkle Toes, along with sentiments from one of our Christmas sets called Making Holidays Bright.  I love being able to use sets year round!  I embossed the grass and flowers with black EP, then used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens to color everything.  I added a few dots to each flower with my white gel pen.  Super easy.  :D  The card base is chocolate brown card stock.

Your Next Stamp - New Release Blog Hop!

Hi all!  Welcome to the YNS New Release Blog Hop!!!

Karen has outdone herself again with this release!  There are SO many awesome sets, it's hard to pick a favorite!  There's Oh, Deer, Quirky Animals, another awesome Whatnot Sentiments set, I could go on...  and then there's this guy here.  LOVE.  HIM.  I think he looks a bit too much like me in the mornings, lol!  The set is called Need Coffee? and yes, it's a must.  For my first card, I embossed this pitiful looking guy on watercolor paper then used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens to color him.  {I bought the 24 pack of them, in case anyone is wondering - I'm really not sure I'll need any others and if so, we're talking maybe 3 or 4 and then I'd have every color I could ever want}  I added a strip of glitter card stock on the left.  I used selective stamping of one of the sentiments because, HELLO, look at that awesome "coffee" word die!??!!  Yep, it's new, too!  :D  So 'need' and the question mark are from the sentiment.  The word die was cut out a few times, then layered so that it stood out more. How do you like how I really accentuated the bags under his eyes, ha!  Oh, don't let me forget to mention that we have NEW gumdrops being released!  Three sets with three different colors in each! FUN!  I used the Latte gumdrops on this card, because well, how could I not?!

For my second card, I went back to my trusty Copics.  I then fussy cut him and used the current deconstructed sketch 203.  This sentiment is actually all together in the set but I decided to wonky cut out the 'happy' and 'birthday' part and adhered it to the smaller circle layer.  I couldn't leave out that last line because it's just so funny, so I cut it out using a small die and popped it up on foam adhesive. Again, I added two gumdrops from one of the new gumdrop combo sets.

And of course, we have a sale for you, as always!  ;)

You have lots to see and don't forget to comment along the way for your chance to WIN!!!  Thanks for stopping by!

HI all!  It's time for another awesome Your Next Stamp New Release!  Today is sneak peek day, so let's get to it!  Here's a card I made using images and a sentiment from the set called BBQ Scene.  I stamped it using sweet tooth pigment ink then used clear EP to emboss onto watercolor paper.  I colored everything with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens.  They are quite fun to use!  I did the same thing to the sun.  This set has a few great sentiments that are perfect for the warmer weather!  I added a little gold metallic twine for a little extra detail.

Thanks for stopping by!  As always, there is lots of eye candy for you to see, so hop on over to the YNS Blog to check it out!  :D
