3rd day of Elzybell sneak peeks!!

So are y'all so excited to buy all of the *new releases* tomorrow!! Yayyyy! Here, I combined two of the sets. This Elzy from the "Just desserts" set has desserts in front of her, but I only wanted to use her, so I inked her up w/ a marker. Then on a separate paper, I stamped the coffee cup from the new mini set, cut it out and adhered it in front of her so it looks like she's having her "morning coffee". hehe! The image was partly colored w/ copics, the rest w/ SU markers. The 3 little coffee cups on the turquoise layer are 3 seperate little stamps that I put on one acrylic block to create my background. And see that dry embossing on the regal rose layer?? I used my new Sizzix embossing folder, which, YES, worked w/ my cuttlebug! Yayyy, again! The little felt flower was from a pack that I found in Target's dollar spot and it came w/ the brad ~ too cool! Hope you've enjoyed all the peeks!!!

2nd day of Elzbell sneak peeks ~ better latte than never!

This is the story of my life lately ~ better "latte" than never!!!!! Anyone else feel like they run around like a chicken w/out a head??!!
Ok, this set is just so cool and there are SOO many stamps in it!! Even those little dots at the bottom are 2 separate stamps ~ the outline dot and the solid dot image. Love it!!! Yes, I paper pieced again, but these are so perfect for this technique, not to mention it helps get rid of that mound of scrap dp you have piling up!!!
Ok, off to baseball practice! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the rest of the Design Team's sneak peeks!!!

Elzybell sneak peek time!!

Yayyyy, it's that time again!! And let me tell you, Elizabeth must have been reading my mind when she created these sets! Adorable!! Cuz ya know, me and chocolate are bestest friends! hehe! Lots of great sentiments w/ this set! I paper pieced her dress w/ dp from the DCWV Sweet paper pack ~ kinda has a Girl Scout feel, huh? And how about that cookie build a brad! That cookie is a separate little stamp. I've been wanting to do something for this weeks' sketch challenge on SCS, so I finally got that done. Don't forget to check out what the rest of the dt did ~ click on the Elzybell link on the right to get to the Elzy blog ~ and check back the rest of the weekend for more peeks!!! Thanks for stopping by!

Elzybell challenge #14

Yes, another fortnight has come and gone! This week, we had to use 3 brads, 2 different ribbons and have a rectangle on the card. Check! Check! And check! I hope that piercing and a little c'buggin' were ok to add! I added 6 copic markers to my collection last week thanks to a sale at Hobby Lobby, so most coloring was done w/ them. Her skin and hair were colored w/ SU markers. If you couldn't tell by my bright colors, I'm SO ready for spring! Yes, I used orchid (again!) and orange, but I think if you use the right amount of white cs, no bold brights are too scary! The ribbon is from American crafts that I swear I've had for years when I was having to shop on QVC for my scrapbooking supplies because there weren't many scrapbook stores in Hawaii! So we're talking at least 3 -4 years old! EEEEEK!
Thanks for stopping by and don't go far! We'll have some Elzy *SNEAK PEEKS* coming up SOOOOON!!!! *wink*

Happy Valentine's Day and an Elzybell special!!!!

Hope everyone is having a super lovey-dovey day with those special people in your lives!!!!! Me, well, hubby took the boys out to get me some prezzies and boy, were they generous! I got chocolate, of course, a pot of pink tulips, a pot of red tulips, red roses, white roses and an adorable stuffed teddy that has "diamonds on the heart" (according to my 5 y.o.)! haha! We all went out to Applebee's and got stuffed! I bought the boys a little something and made them all cards. Baseball is in full swing here and our oldest has a tournament this weekend, so we'll be going to his 2nd game in about an hour! Fun, fun!
Oh yes, you're probably wondering about the Elzybell special!!! Well, Elizabeth has a wonderful offer this weekend which you can check out --->>> HERE!!!!! <<< !!!!! I can't wait til we can start showing sneak peeks of the new February sets!!! They are just as darling as EVAH!!!!!

Lovin' this new SAB set!

Isn't it so pretty? The flower was stamped twice and the 2nd one was popped up on a dimensional. I used Julee's Mojo72 sketch for this one. Lots o' gems on it! And piercing! The sentiment is from a different set whose name escapes me at the moment. The riding hood layer was cuttlebugged.
We've been enjoying some warmer weather, so yesterday we took the boys to a local playground. Well, we were all running around playing hide and seek! It was so fun but ya wanna hear the sad thing?? I am SORE from all that running!! Aaacckkkk!!! How pitiful is that? We also played a little basketball, so it was quite a work out. Better to work out by having fun than by doing something boring like jogging, right? lol! Just thought I'd share!
Thanks for stopping by!

Single layer Elzy challenge

Yep, time for another Elzybell fortnightly challenge! This time, Paula picked the challenge ~ to make a single layer card. I thought I'd do something besides a white card base, so I used pale plum. The teddy is colored in w/ markers and I paper pieced his pillow w/ some retired SU dp. I used my circle nesties to emboss him and pierced around the outer edge. For the bottom, I used the threading water (or is it treading??) scallop border punch from Fiskars. You know, the one that punches the little hole in each scallop? Well, I centered my $1 heart punch I'd gotten from Michael's over the hole so that now there's a little heart in each scallop. Love it when a plan comes together!! ha! It's the little things, right?! To sort of highlight each heart, I added a gem to the center on the inside of the card. Whatcha think??
Go to the Elzybell blog to see what the rest of the DT did ~ who'd have thought single layer cards could be so stinkin' adorable??!!!! Thanks for stopping by!

A Verve card

Hey, look ma, I sewed!! Ok, so it's no where near straight, but I love the "crazy stitch" look! I made this for a Verve sketch challenge over on Splitcoast. The flower petals are on dimensionals. I cuttlebugged the oval saffron layer, which I'd cut out w/ my coluzzle. I was happy when I realized that my pink marvy oval scallop punch layered perfectly with that saffron layer!
I'm off work today, so I think I'll make my Target/Michael's run! I'll let ya know if I find anything good!
Thanks for stopping by!
