Happy birthday

Hi all!  Here's my first card using modeling paste!  SO FUN!  I tried not to make it too thick and made sure I left it alone to dry completely.  The sentiment is from MFT's Celebrate Big set and was cut out with the label from the You Move Me die-namics.  The stencil I used is MPD Scallops, which is so great on any card theme.  The base of my tissue paper flower (which is from the tissue paper that comes with your MFT orders!), is the medium die from the Botanical Beauty die-namics.  Then I used the mini royal roses to complete the flower and placed a pretty bit of bling in the center.  I added a leafy flourish which was cut out of some shimmery paper that was on some packaging I came across.  A bit of the scallop ribbon border in black licorice adds a little extra touch to the sentiment.

Hi - MFTWSC159

Hi all!  Here's my card for the MFTWSC159.  I love this totally cute girlie, WBD Best Friends!  I cut her out using one of the Blueprints 9 die-namics.  Who says you have to have the entire image on a card, right?  All of the other elements are from the same die-namics except for the pierced circle and "hi".  Other stamps I used were Damask Designs and Striped Backgrounds.

Your Next Stamp Fun Friday and SACC - Have a great day!

Hi all!  Here's my card for the YNS Fun Friday challenge using this month's sketch.  I also made this for our weekly anything goes challenge at SACC.  I used this new digi, Blossom Birds, which I colored with my copics.  I went with the typical little brown bird I see so often in Texas, but they're still cute ;)  I used my circle STAX to cut it out and attached it with pop dots.  I thought the woodgrain background stamp in pink lemonade would be appropriate with the birdies.  I added some grapesicle leaves from the washi patterns set.  A white twill ribbon bow, scallops and pearls add the finishing details.

Your Next Stamp Tips and Tricks - Paper Piecing

Hi all!  Here's a peek at the card I made for a tutorial I did over on the YNS Blog - check IT OUT!  Along with the Cuddles YNS digi, I also used MFT's large scale backgrounds, the polka dot cover-up die-namic, the sentiment from PI It's a Sign, pierced circle STAX and an element from the Blueprints 6.

MFTWSC157 - In case you didn't know it...

Hi all!  Here's my card for the MFTWSC157 using MFT's Damask Designs and Bold Statements stamp sets.  I distressed the two layers of black licorice cardstock.  I love this color combo of grapesicle, kraft and black licorice!  I also used grapesicle and black licorice inks, along with MFT's sweet tooth pigment ink.  The sentiment was cut out using my Fishtail Flags STAX - my MOST used and dearly LOVED die-namics!  The scallop under the sentiment is from the Blueprints 9 die-namics.  I also used Blueprints 1 for the small kraft layer (with the damask stamps) and the larger rectangle from Blueprints 6 for the grapesicle layer.  I pierced around the smallest rectangle layer, added some bling to the A's and a trio of threaded buttons to finish up this fairly clean and simple card.

Your Next Stamp Fun Friday Challenge - Special Delivery

Hi all!  Happy first Friday of 2014!  We're ready to kick off the new year with some new challenges at YNS!  Here's my card using the inspiration picture from this month's YNS Fun Friday challenge using the newly released digi, Little Bear Holding Bouquet.  I colored him with copics and cut it out using MFT's pierced circles.  I added a couple of hearts and a sentiment (from a now retired MFT set) that I thought was perfect for this image!  The sketch is this week's SCS card sketch challenge.

For my card, I used the Cuddles image.  Totally love him!  {he is my watermark, after all!} I colored him with copics then fussy cut him because I wanted to pop him up on dimensionals so he really stood out.  The sentiment is from MFT, which I embossed with white ep on vellum.  I added a couple of die-namic hearts, one of which was cut out with corrugated paper (from a Starbucks belly band) then swiped with some sweet tooth craft ink.  A few brads and some red bling here and there add extra detail.  The sketch is the SSSC200.
