A pink and celery birthday

I finally found some time for stampin' this week! I loved this weeks' sketch challenge on SCS. After I ran the celery layer thru my 'bug, I brayered it w/ olive ink. I love the look and will have to try this again! I'm trying very hard to use up the tons and tons of dp that I've accumulated! Ugh! I colored in the flowers, including the tiny ones in the oval border, with my SU markers. The large green rhinestone brads are from my dear friend, Stacy ~ aren't they cool?!

Drs Designs blog challenge

Here's my card for the latest DRS Designs blog challenge which is to use your "handmade by" stamps for something other than the back of your card!! I went w/ a Valentine theme so I could use these sweet newly released DRS Designs stamps. The hearts are paper pieced. I was thinking along the lines of "we are 'handmade by love'" when I made this one. The bg stamps is actually the Giga Heart circle stamp which works w/ your marvy punches! An Elzy valentine treat

Time for a new challenge over at the Elzybell blog ~ HERE!! Never too early to get started on valentine treats! I got this cute little bottle from Hobby Lobby. The cuppa cocoa and sentiment are from the new clear stamps from Elzybells UK. I colored it w/ SU markers and cut it out w/ nesties. I just tied it to the ribbon using silver cording. Regal kisses

Here's my latest creation combining 2 challenges ~ the color challenge on SCS to use regal rose, burgundy and kiwi kiss, and Julee's Mojo70. I decided to use one of my Verve sets. The flowers were watercolored and some are on dimensionals. The flower centers have pink gemstones on them. The border punch is a new one (I think) from fiskars.

One year ago today...

we lost my little brother. I still can't believe it. He was 29. I miss him so much...

to order them starting TODAY!!!!! I decided I wanted a white teddy bear, so I stamped him on kraft paper and watercolored him and used markers on the flowers. And lookee, I found one of the new Martha Stewart stamps ~ that cute heart!! I used BG Wassail dp and the sentiment is popped up w/ a dimensional in the center for that "banner" look. Hope ya like him and thanks for coming by to check out my sneak peeks!!!!
