Happy New Year!!!

Ok, I realize I'm 5 days late, but lookeee ---->>> I stamped!
And if felt sooo good! ;} This is part of a set that I made as a teachers' birthday gift. I got this Flight of the Butterfly set months ago, but this is the first time it's seen ink. Used the sketch from last weeks' challenge on SCS and just kept things simple since I hadn't stamped in so long. The yummy kraft cardstock is from Elzybell's. Love it! And yes, the butterfly is popped up on a dimensional.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that 2010 brings many blessings! We had a very nice Christmas and New Year. Nice and relaxing. Now it's back to work but I made a promise to myself to stamp more! Can't really buy new stuff if I'm not using what's sitting in my craft room! Well, yes, I know I could, but I feel better if I'm using what I already own, kwim?? Thanks for checking in - hope I haven't lost too many of you!

It's a Sunny release day!!!

It's RELEASE DAY!!!!!!!!! Here's my final sneak peek for you using a different image from the same Mini Messages set that I used yesterday.

This also uses yesterdays' Sketch Challenge on SCS. The beach balls are up on dimensionals and I colored them w/ my SU markers. I love using up retired dp rather than just seeing it sit in my room!! Used a border punch on the bottom black strip, pierced the top black strip, added a little gingham and a sentiment from the same Mini Messages set and voila! Clean and simple w/ a pop of color!! Ok, now RUN to the Elzybell store (link on the sidebar--->) and see the full sets! Which ones are you getting???!!!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoyed the peeks! Also, this is my last new release as an Elzybell DT member. It's been wonderful and I can't thank Elizabeth enough for giving me, someone not well known in the "stamping world" (didn't want to use your exact words, debi!), a chance to a be a part of her team. I've really enjoyed getting to know everyone else on the team and will continue to follow their work and stalk their blogs *wink*.

3rd day of Elzybell Summer sneaks!!!

Here's a sweet little card that uses 2 images from one of the new Mini Messages sets being released *TOMORROW*!!!! The sentiment is also from that set. I colored the palm tree image w/ copics, then masked to create a little sunset scene. The flip flops were clear embossed on the saffron layer. A few rows of piercing and ribbon finish it off. The palm tree image is up on pop dots. This is a 4x4 card.
Thanks for stopping by and remember, tomorrow is ***RELEASE DAY*** and the last day of sneaks!!!

2nd day of Elzybells UK Summer release!!

Well, whatcha think???? I wanted to show how one little stamp and a sweet sentiment could make a *supah cute* card sure to put a smile on someone's face!!! I think I accomplished that goal and hopefully you agree! That Sunflower is a new rubber single image being released on Thursday. I stamped it repeatedly and colored it with... can ya guess?? Nope, not copics! All SU markers! I used summer sun, pumpkin and cocoa. Now, this sentiment is actually 2 separate stamps that come in a new sentiment set called, Swirly Greetings. I guarantee that this will be your new *Go-To* set for many sentiments! It has 2 different fonts and covers many occasions from retirement and wedding to anniversary and graduation!!!!! It is AWESOME!!! To finish off the card, I used a corduroy button (that I've been hoarding for many months...) w/ a little hemp bow tied through it and brads on the corners. This is a 4.5 x 4.5 card, btw. Thanks so much for stopping by ~ hope ya liked it!!! Don't forget that the rest of the 'Belles have some gorgeous goodies for you to drool over, as well!

1st day of Elzybells' Summer release is here!

Introducing the sweet *Sunflower Fun* Elzy!!! I love her cute little outfit and those big ol' sunflowers! She was colored using copics except for her shirt, which I used SU's pixie pink then used the fine point of my real red to draw lines on her shirt and headband for kind of a plaid look {click on the pic so you can see it better}. Once she was colored, I realized that this dp matched up w/ her perfectly! The *Sunshine* sentiment is also a new release. I love this one, too, because I call my boys "sunshine" all the time, but usually when they're being grumpy, hehe! I fought w/ where to put the sentiment at first, but am happy w/ it now. Used a border punch for the red strip and added hemp to 3 little buttons.
Keep checking back every day until the 23rd which is final sneak and RELEASE day!!!! And be sure to scope out what the rest of the 'Belles have for you!

Time for an Elzy sketch challenge

Here's a fun sketch from Elizabeth, the Elzy Queen, herself! I love these Spring Cube images! I used copics to color it in. I've had this dp for oh, say at least 2 yrs, probably a little more and whaddya know ~ it matches the new SU Melon Mambo cardstock perfectly!! Love it when that happens! Added some white brads and grosgrain to help tone down the brightness of this card! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to come back on the 20th for some ***sneak peeks*** of the new goodies that will be arrivng in the Elzybell store soon!!!! You will NOT be disappointed!!!!

Ready for an Elzy blog challenge???

Good!!! Because it's time for one! This week we had to make a card using the colors from our country's flag. Good ol' red, white and blue for me! I love the images in the Spring Cubes set! The only blue on the card is the vase, which is watercolored using SU's brilliant blue and the brads, which are also brilliant blue (though they look darker in the pic). The rest of the image is colored using real red and green galore. The sentiment is from the Mini Tags set. The main image is up on dimensionals. I cuttlebugged the larger white layer for a little something extra, but wanted to keep this one fairly clean and simple. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the Elzybelles have for you!

Phunky Phresh sneak and Elzy *RELEASE DAY*

So whatcha think of my "phunky phresh" card?? Hehe, guess I was in a "phunky" mood this morning! A good card for a teenage girl, I suppose? The row of "beauty necessities" is a single stamp that I just stamped repeatedly. Everything is colored w/ SU markers, then I added some white gel pen highlights here and there. The sentiment is from a new set called *Best Things*. It's a great set of sentiments that are all in a row, but I decided to stamp it so that it'd fit in the oval. There's also piercing at the top and bottom of the black layer. Thanks for stopping by, now go check out all the new goodies available at the ELZY store!!!!

2nd day of Elzy sneaks!

What do you think of Elzy's wallpaper?? Hehe, yes, it took a bit of work, but I just HAD to paper piece this image! I love this little dinkie! I colored her "rollers" orange because they remind me of the real orange juice cans my mom used to roll her hair in! I'm talking the ones from the early 70s that were hard metal! She would sleep in them and then in the morning, take them out one by one, blow drying each section as she did it, so her hair was super straight. It's naturally very curly, but she didn't used to like wearing it that way. Ok, on to the card!
The rest of her was colored w/ either copics or SU markers. The card base was cuttlebugged. I faux stiched on the celery squares, which, by the way, match better w/ the "wallpaper" than this photo shows. The sentiment is up on dimensionals. Thanks for peeking in! Tomorrow will be the final day of peeks and also *RELEASE DAY*!!!!

1st day of Elzy sneaks!!!

Time to pamper yourselves!!! Here's a peek at the new *Rubadubdub* set that will be released on 24 June!!! Elzy decided to take some time for herself, grab a little white Zin and unwind in with a bubble bath. I've had this jar of bath salts for a while and decided to dress it up and give it to my mom for her bday next month. She could definitely use some relaxation time! The radio and tub feet were colored w/ silver and gold Koh-I-Noor metallic pencils, which are available in the Elzybell store. The tub is actually colored w/ my Smooch pearlized paint, so it's shimmery! Love it! Everything else was colored w/ SU markers. Here's a pic of the lid:

The soap, brush and shampoo bottle are separate little stamps that are also in this set. I inked them up in regal rose and stamped off once so I could use them as a background for the sentiment. Such a fun set!! Be sure and check out what the rest of the 'belles have for you to drool over!! {links are on the right----->>>>>}
Be sure and stop back tomorrow for more peeks!!!

A recycling Elzybell challenge

Hiya! This weeks' challenge was "recycling" and were to interpret that however we wished. Soooo, my recycled things are the ribbon ~ under the Party Teds it says "making memories" because it was wrapped around a Making Memories Christmas gift I got in 2007! And also the bits of dp you see are from a project I worked on almost 2 mths ago. Those should count, right?! Aren't these Party Teds the sweetest?! Ok, so I say that all the time, but it's true! This is a 4x4 card. I also added the "just for you" sentiment to the inside and colored the stars around it w/ my celery and garden green markers to match the dp. Hope ya likey and check out what the rest of the DT made! Oh, and I may have gotten the hang of my copics ~ am I right that shorter strokes work better than longer ones? The left ted was colored using longer strokes and the right ted was colored using shorter strokes. (different colors, of course) Maybe it's me, but I think right ted is blended better. Ok, I'm rambling! Oh, and I sponged the sky and grass for the Flourishes blog challenge!

Thanks so much for all the thoughts and prayers regarding my Mawmaw. The service was beautiful, the boys behaved wonderfully and it was nice seeing some family that I hadn't seen in probably 20 years.

2nd day of Elzybell sneak peeks!!!

So, whatcha think? Was it worthy of all my hype?! Well, I've been rather mojo -less for a while now, and this card makes me feel like I'm getting in a groove again! I used my own color combo and my own sketch! Usually I'm searching on SCS or through hundreds of blogs til I find something that inspires me. Now, to the important stuff ~ this image! OMWord, how cute, huh?!!! I'm lovin' this Angel Teddy! (duh!) I cut her out and she's up on dimensionals. The image also has a little swirly star thing above her head, but that was way too hard to cut out, so I just left it out altogether. Her wings were colored w/ my gold Koh-I-Noor pencil (thanks, Elizabeth!!!), as are all of the stars on the wings and sentiment. Nice and shimmery! The teddy was watercolored, then I shadowed w/ my caramel SU marker and added highlights w/ a white gel pen. The dp is from a retired SU pack, having a brain fart on the name.
Totally off topic here ~ I just watched the Grey's Anatomy season finale and OMWORD!!! How can they leave us hanging like that! And I sooooo knew that was George! AACCKKKKK!!!
Back to your regularly scheduled programming~~~~~
Now please go check out what the rest of the girls have done!! And, as always, your comments are greatly appreciated!!!

A peek at tomorrow's peek!

Hehe, just thought I'd tease you a peek at my sneak peek for tomorrow!!! Incase ya can't tell, I'm lovin' how this one turned out! G'nite and see ya in the morning!e

Hey, hot stuff, it's the 1st day of Elzybell sneaks!!!

Hey hey, it's time to show off the new Elzybells!! The dt will be sneak peekin' them for the next 4 days, so be sure to stop back and see what goodies we have to show ya!

I just love this sentiment w/ Welder Ted! And the bg layer is not just some cool dp I used ~ I made it w/ another new stamp called "Man's World Multi". It has lots of manly words and phrases on it, ya know, like "remote control" and "baseball cap", hehe! I stamped it repeatedly to make it look like patterned paper. He is stamped on watercolor paper and everything except his helmet was watercolored w/ inks. I used my new silver Koh-I-Nor pencil that we now carry over at Elzybells. I went over it w/ my aquapainter and it still shimmers! See what the rest of the girls have done for ya ~ all links are on the right!!!

Have a good one!

Elzy challenge time!

G'morning, all! This weeks' Elzybell challenge is to make a card w/ more than one fold. I went to the Splitcoast resources area and chose this flap card. The bear and ribbon are not actually attached to the card. The ribbon is adhered to itself, so in order to open the card, you just slide the bear and ribbon off. I also used this weeks' color challenge combo on SCS ~ summer sun, kiwi and only orange. So bright and cheery!!

Also, is anyone else having a hard time when looking at my blog? I was told today that when someone left my blog, that many pages began opening, like w/ a virus. Please let me know! I've had that happen to me when leaving blogs before, but I'm not sure how I could fix it. Maybe start a new blog? Anyway, please go check out all the dt's links on the right ~ I'm sure you'll find LOTS of inspiration!!!!!!!
Have a good one!

A sketchy Elzybell challenge

Here's my card for this weeks' Elzybell blog challenge ~ this cool sketch from Rachel!!! Love it! I whipped this up this morning because, well, things have been hectic here. I'm sending this to my grandma (I call her mawmaw) because she's not doing well. We went to visit her in Louisiana this weekend in the hospital. The docs said yesterday that she's not improving, so they're moving her to hospice. I'm so sad. She's 86 and I can't imagine not having her around anymore.
Ok, well, you didn't come her to get bummed out! Sorry! I love Elizabeth's little sheep ~ they are just SO darling! My stamp room is also a wreck right now ~ hoping to have it all rearranged and organized very SOON!!!!! Now go take a peek at what the rest of the dt did! And let me apologize for my lack of posting ~ please don't leave me!!!

Spring Elzy sneak peeks ~ Day 3!!

Ok, first, let me apologize for the late post! Now, here's my sneakie peekie for today! This one uses Parateddy! He looks like he's having a blast, doesn't he?! I, obviously, paper pieced his blankie. He's colored w/ a copic. This sentiment would be great for Easter, also. I pierced around the white layer and also pierced through the holes that were punched out using my new EK border punch. Hope you've enjoyed all the peeks and please go check out what the rest of the DT did!!!
It is gawgeous out today, so we're taking the kiddos fishing!! Have a wonderful Sunday!!!

Spring Elzy sneak peeks ~ Day 2!

Here are some more adorable bears for you to drool over! They are just too sweet!
Everything was watercolored and I also added crystal effect to the balloon. The bears are up on dimensionals as is the sentiment, which is also new! This card measures about 6 x 3.5". Now go check out what the rest of the DT made ~ {links are on the right side of my blog}!!!!
Stay tuned for more sneaks tomorrow and don't forget to go *shopping* on Monday!!!!!!! *wink*

Springtime **Sneak Peeks** ~ Day 1

Hi there and welcome to day 1 of the Elzybell sneak peeks!!! Alright, so how stinkin' cute are these bears??!!!! I just love 'em! I colored the left and middle ones w/ SU markers and used a copic marker (sand) on the right one ~ can you tell a difference? Not sure I can. Anyway, the grass was also colored w/ a copic marker. I masked the bears and sponged some bashful blue around them for a sky effect. The sketch is from this weeks' Sketch Challenge on SCS. Did you check out the Elzybell Blog Challenge for this week yet?? It's to finish the inside of your card and also make a matching envelope. Well, in keeping w/ that challenge, I also finished the inside of this card! Here's a pic:
The sentiment is also new. The trio of flowers is
actually from a single stamp called the "flower pot trio". I just covered the flower pot so I could only stamp the flowers since I thought they fit the sentiment well.
I may take new pics in the morning ~ can't get good lighting at night, but Photoshop may have done the trick! Thanks for stopping by and check out what the rest of the 'belles have for you! And of course, more sneaks throughout the rest of the weekend!
