Hi all! I wanted to share this card I made for my hubby. Our 18th anniversary is on Sunday! To think of all that we've been through ~ 5 moves, 3 kids, the oldest diagnosed with Leukemia (and gratefully being cured!), hubby working wherever the Air Force sent him, etc... ~ I'm so proud to be where we are today!!! The sentiment is from MFT's Clearly Sentimental about Anniversaries which I cut out using my Fishtail Flags Stax (I just flipped the Stax to get that fishtail edge on both sides). The numbers are from the Vanity License Plate set. I cut them out by hand. The layer behind my sentiment was cut out using my Circle Stax 1. The banner was made using my Fishtail Banner die-namics. I love that little scalloped edge on the larger layer! Lots of mini brads and some black jute string from Ribbon Carousel finish it off. The sketch is Karen Giron's SSSC166.
A peek at the inside... Another sentiment from the same set. I used the pinking edge die-namics on the yellow dp for extra interest.
Here's a detail shot... See what I mean about the little scalloped edge on the banner die-namics? LOVE.
I hope everyone has a great three day weekend!!! Thanks for stopping by!

MFTWSC86 - 80s girl - Word!
Hi all! Here's my card for MFT's latest sketch challenge. I so love this 80s Girl a la mode!!! As a child of the 80s, I can so relate to the boombox, white stretch pants (blech!) and leg warmers!!! LOL! And you see that slight orangey-ness in her hair?? Can you say "Sun-In"???? Ha, remember that? I used it lots to try to lighten my hair and this was about the color it ended up (never the blonde I'd hoped for). Can I get a "Word!"?? :D She's colored with copics. The sentiment, also from the set, was cut out using the mini pennant die-namics. I had to use bright, neon colors for this girl and I love that bright pop of the yellow twill ribbon from Ribbon Carousel and the Gumdrop Green MFT button! Part of the double dot border die-namics are peeking out under the larger dp layer. A trio of silver brads add the finishing touch.
And a peek at the inside...
Thanks for stopping by! WORD!

TS Monday - Too much coffee?
Hi all! Happy Monday! My boys started their first day of school today - 4th, 7th and 10th grades!!! Oh. My. I'm praying for a smooth, successful year. Heck, let's just start with a smooth first day!
Our challenge this week is an easy one - Anything Goes! For my card, I've used the newly release Crabby Cathy. And a little hint, this is me any morning I have to get up early. ;) I've never been a morning person. Cathy was colored with copics. The sketch is the August SFYTT. I cut out the sentiment with my fishtail flags stax and added several brads.
A peek at the inside... this set comes with such funny sentiments!!

MFTWSC85 - Sprinkled with Fun
Hi all! I know! Two cards in two days! Yay! Let's just say that I needed some stamp therapy today... This is my first time inking up Rainfall Flopsey that I got from my friend, Kelli. She (he?) was colored with copics, fussy cut then popped up with pop dots. The sentiment is from the PI set Sprinkler Girl but I think it works with this Flopsey perfectly! I used my copic blender to make "polka dots" on Flopsey's boots. The flower embellie was made using two of the layered rose die-namics (GORGEOUS!) along with a button and some twine. The open bracket border adds some detailing at the bottom. And I couldn't help but add a few mini white brads (ok, there's 10!)...
One detail shot... Yes, I cut out around Flopsey's face and umbrella handle!

TS Monday - CAS (clean and simple)
Hi all! Yep, it's Monday and time for another Totally Stampalicious challenge! This week the challenge is to make a CAS (Clean And Simple) card/project. I was so anxious to use this newly release Cheerleader Brat! She's colored with copics plus I added stickles to her pom poms. I like her with black hair. I rarely color hair anything but light brown or dark brown, lol! Those black stripes down the center is actually a piece of trendy tape (aka washi tape, aka paper tape)! I love that it looks like a stamp! I cut out the sentiment with one of my die-namics and adhered it with pop dots. I also rounded the lower right corner for that little bit of extra interest.
And a close up...
Thanks for stopping by!!! Hoping this week goes smoothly (going to be an interesting one for me...)!

TS Monday - favorite color combo!
Hi all! My baby turns 9 years old today! ACK! Where, oh where, does the time go??? I hope your week is off to a fabulous start!!! How about a Totally Stampalicious blog challenge to help you with that?? This week the challenge is to make a card or project using your favorite color combo! I have lots of favorites so I just looked through some of my new paper pads and went with this pretty light blue/red combo. I love red!! It's my favorite color to wear from clothing to lipstick to toenail polish! I chose this STELLA for my card because, for me, this sentiment is just SO true! She's colored with copics. Part of the cup was paper pieced, the rest was colored with copics. Such a pretty cup, right?! I added faux stitching for the latest Ribbon Carousel challenge. A trio of bling in the upper right corner {notice a pattern?? I've been adding a little trio of bling or brads to everything lately!} and some pretty satin ribbon add the finishing touches. I love using such girly dp with these sassy stamps!
Thanks for stopping by!

MFTWSC84 - Teacher
Hi all! I'll be short and sweet because it's late and that alarm goes off early! Here's my card for the newest MFTWSC84. I used the a la mode, An Apple for Teacher. I guess with the boys starting school at the end of the month and all the shopping for it, I had school on the brain! She's colored with copics and was then cut out with the Vertical Greetings die-namic. The other die-namics I used were the notched border and the ticket tab, which I shortened to better fit my sentiment.
Three silver brads, three buttons and some twine finish it up. Here's a close up of the knotted thread I added to the sentiment.

TS Monday - celebrate summer!
Hi all! Happy Monday! This week over at the Totally Stampalicious blog, we are challenging you to create a card or project celebrating summer! Now, my sweet Party Penguin might not be exactly summer-ish, but he's definitely celebrating! I colored him with copics then cut him out using my Circle STAX. That green dotted strip is washi tape.
I added some stars die-namics and three little orange mini brads on the lower left corner to finish it up. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks Bunches - MFT guest designer challenge!
Hi all! Everyone as happy as I am that it's almost FRIDAY??!! It's been a little while but I decided to give the MFT guest designer challenge a try! I'm hooked, what can I say?! (to MFT and a good challenge!) Here's a peek at my card...
And here it is! I decided to use this sweet Mouse in the House Blessed Mouse. She was totally colored with copics and I added some "texture" to her fur by using my colorless blender. Then I fussy cut her and created a scene using the woodgrain fence, branch with leaves, leafy flourish and the smallest of the mini royal roses die-namics. The mini roses have stickles on some of the petals and red bling as the center. I distressed the other two layers of designer paper for more interest. The sentiment was stamped on the file tab die-namics. And I, of course, had to find a way to add at least one of the fishtail flags STAX!
Tiny bling on the upper left corner and medium-sized bling on the lower right corner add an extra touch. Here's a detail shot of the walnut brown vintage seam binding and a super cute button with some thread.
Thanks for stopping by!
