SPD Mix It Up Challenge - You're going places!

Hi all!  I'm so happy to be joining you today!  If you didn't know, my family and I moved from Oklahoma to Spring Branch, Texas last month.  It's been hectic, to say the least, but we're in our house and I can see a tiny little light at the end of the tunnel (made of boxes, ha!).  I actually have my craft nook set up just enough that I was able to make this card for the SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge today!  A little tip for getting back into card making when you've been away from it for a bit - pick an image, some designer paper and a cool sketch to get the mojo flowing again! I colored this cute scooter from the Wanderlust stamp set.  Yay for not forgetting how to color with Copics!  :D  I fussy cut it then layered it over the sentiment from the Going Places stamp set.  The designer paper is from the It's a Celebration paper pack.

Another task is finding the best place to take pictures of finished projects...

Be sure to stop by the SPD BLOG to check out the challenge and play along for your chance to WIN!

Thanks for stopping by!

Be kind,
Angel

Hi all!  Happy Wednesday!  We have a new Mix It Up Challenge for you over on the SPD Blog!  I actually used the sketch AND the picture this time ;-)  The designer paper is from the It's A Celebration paper pad and the sentiment is from the Celebrate All The Things stamp set.  And of course, the balloon dies are from the awesome Birthday Journal Card SugarCuts.  Easy peasy birthday card!

SugarPea Design Challenge time!

Hi all!  I'm SO excited to be sharing my FIRST SugarPea Designs Challenge card as a part of the new design team!  EEK!!!  I made this fun card based on the sketch using the Bring On the Cake stamp set  and the Birthday Journal Card SugarCut.  I went pretty Clean And Simple to keep the focus on the cake embellishments and the embossed sentiment.  I love the fun patterned paper from the It's a Celebration paper pack.  Be sure to check out the challenge over on the SPD Blog!

Sugar Pea Designs Birthday Bash - Let's Fiesta!

Hi all!  I'm SO thrilled to be joining Wendy, her team and a long list of talented designers to help celebrate Sugar Pea Designs 1st Birthday!!!  And what set is more appropriate than SPD's Let's Fiesta!  I cannot tell you how fun this happy dude is to color!  I knew I wanted to use the True Friend paper pad with him, so I colored him with my Copics so that he matched.  How do you like his arm and leg hair (lol, sorry, couldn't resist - you can't have a mustache like that and NOT have arm hair!)?  I also like the subtle woodgrain on his guitar.  ;)  I then fussy cut him and adhered him with foam adhesive.  The sentiment is embossed with clear ep and my tropical teal hybrid ink.  A couple of the YNS pumpkin gumdrops (and a blue one from MME), add the finishing touch!

And what's a party without prizes?!  One lucky person who comments on ALL of the participating blogs will win this---->

SAY WHAT?!?!  Yes, a $100 Gift Certificate to the Sugar Pea Designs store!  BUT that's not all!  If you play along with us and link up your card on the SPD Blog (to the appropriate post), you could also win a $25 gift certificate!!!  You can also use code BDAY01 and get 10% off your order through 24 January!  Doesn't get any better than that!

Alrighty, now it's time to hop on over to Jen's Blog!  Thanks for stopping by!
