TS Monday - anything goes!

Hi all!  It's time for our Monday Totally Stampalicious Blog challenge and this week it's an easy one - anything goes!  My New Orleans Saints are needing some support this season, so I thought I'd make a card in their honor using our Football Brat.  He's colored with copics and I used a gold spica pen on his helmet.  I masked him and some cloud die-namics then sponged in some sky.  I used some die-namics to cut out the sentiment, which is also from the set.  Some black cotton twill, a couple of extra stars and a brad finish off the details.

TS Blog challenge- Fall Colors a little late

Hi all!  Nope it's not Monday which mean yes, I'm a wee bit late with my Totally Stampalicious Blog challenge... but alas, here 'tis.  I chose to ink up the newly released Stella Waitress.  I always love this gal!  I colored her with copics.  The sentiment is one from her set.

Detail shot...  kraft ribbon, cherry button and some twine *love*...

TS Monday - Birthday Girl!

Hi all!  Hope everyone had a nice weekend!  I am personally cherishing my weekends more than ever before now that I'm working 8-5 again. ;)
Our challenge this week is for you to create a Birthday Girl card or project.  Who couldn't use more of these in their stash?!  I had to use this sweetie from the Sweet Birthday Kids set.  I love this set because it has a boy and a girl with two sentiments - all your kiddie birthday card needs in one set!  Gotta love that!  I paper pieced the balloons but the rest of her was colored with copics.  I cut out the sentiment with one of my die-namics.  I also added a Fishtail Flag Stax.  The orange polka dots strips were cut out with my small scallop border die-namics.  A little bling and some ivory jute from the Ribbon Carousel finish off the details.  The sketch is the MFTWSC89.

Here's a close up of the balloons...  I added glossy accents to make them *shine*.

And a peek at the inside.  I inked up only the balloons with some versamagic ink.

Be sure to check out the new releases over at Totally Stampalicious!!!  LOTS of fun stuff!!!

You're picture perfect

Hi all!  I managed to finish a card!  It has been such a BUSY past couple of weeks....  I used the Picture Perfect PI by MFT  for their guest designer challenge.  That is one challenge I try SO hard to enter every month because I totally love their products!  I stamped the frame a second time and cut it out and popped it up on pop dots for extra dimension.  Everything is colored with copics.  I wanted the frame to have a worn wooden look to it.  I used the smallest of the layered rose die-namics, as well as two of the royal leaves, which I cut out of cork, for my embellie.  A few pearls for the flower center and clusters of pearls add more interest.  The green dp strips are the scallop ribbon border just cut in half, then I added some linen thread and tied knots on the ends.

Inside shot... I used the medium scallop border and the medium leafy flourish.

And a detail shot of the flower embellie...

18 years

Hi all!  I wanted to share this card I made for my hubby.  Our 18th anniversary is on Sunday!  To think of all that we've been through ~ 5 moves, 3 kids, the oldest diagnosed with Leukemia (and gratefully being cured!), hubby working wherever the Air Force sent him, etc... ~ I'm so proud to be where we are today!!!  The sentiment is from MFT's Clearly Sentimental about Anniversaries which I cut out using my Fishtail Flags Stax (I just flipped the Stax to get that fishtail edge on both sides).  The numbers are from the Vanity License Plate set.  I cut them out by hand.  The layer behind my sentiment was cut out using my Circle Stax 1.  The banner was made using my Fishtail Banner die-namics.  I love that little scalloped edge on the larger layer!  Lots of mini brads and some black jute string from Ribbon Carousel finish it off.  The sketch is Karen Giron's SSSC166.

A peek at the inside...  Another sentiment from the same set.  I used the pinking edge die-namics on the yellow dp for extra interest.

Here's a detail shot...  See what I mean about the little scalloped edge on the banner die-namics?  LOVE.

I hope everyone has a great three day weekend!!!  Thanks for stopping by!

MFTWSC86 - 80s girl - Word!

Hi all!  Here's my card for MFT's latest sketch challenge.  I so love this 80s Girl a la mode!!!  As a child of the 80s, I can so relate to the boombox, white stretch pants (blech!) and leg warmers!!!  LOL!  And you see that slight orangey-ness in her hair??  Can you say "Sun-In"????  Ha, remember that?  I used it lots to try to lighten my hair and this was about the color it ended up (never the blonde I'd hoped for).  Can I get a "Word!"??  :D She's colored with copics. The sentiment, also from the set, was cut out using the mini pennant die-namics.  I had to use bright, neon colors for this girl and I love that bright pop of the yellow twill ribbon from Ribbon Carousel and the Gumdrop Green MFT button!  Part of the double dot border die-namics are peeking out under the larger dp layer.  A trio of silver brads add the finishing touch.

And a peek at the inside...

Thanks for stopping by!  WORD!
