Here's a hug

Hi all!  Here's my card for the MFTWSC369 challenge.  I love this guy!  I mean, who wouldn't want a hug from a big ol' cuddly Viking?  ;)  I colored him with Copics.  The pirate ship in the background is from the BB Party like a Pirate set and was stamped with distress ink.  I watercolored the sky and ocean around it them swiped more water over it all to blur it and give the illusion of it being in the distance.  The sentiment is from the Bitty Bears set (so many great sentiment in that set, besides those super adorable bears!).

The Card Concept Challenge!

Hi all!  So, without jinxing anything, I just got my (second) new laptop tonight and so far, I'm loving it!  The first new one I got FROZE on me three times while trying to edit pictures!  Uh. I don't THINK SO!  So I'm happy to be posting again without having to pray that my old laptop would cooperate (and it was absolutely NOT cooperating for a while now). 

It's time for a new challenge on The Card Concept Challenge Blog!  I decided to steer away from the floral-ness of the inspiration picture and focused on the pretty colors.  I watercolored the MFT Bitty Bear then popped him up next to the Happy Birthday die-namics sentiment.  I did a little sponging on the card base.

You are the sweetest

Hi all!  I'm here again with a card I made for the new The Card Concept #84 Challenge and the recent, but not current, MFTWSC366 sketch challenge.  I used the More Rustic Wildflowers set and matching dies.  I adhered a flower with leaves into each opening I had cut out with the Stitched Tag-Corner Square STAX die.  This is definitely one of my favorite color combos - pinks and that MFT grout gray!  The sentiment is from the Bitty Bears set and fits rather well in my favorite old Fishtail Flags STAX.

I'm waiting on my (second) new computer to arrive later this week (first one must have been a dud!), so possibly no posts until the weekend!  ughhhh...

I'm so happy for you

Hi all!  I'm a bit late, but still wanted to post this card I made for the MFTWSC365 challenge.  I had fun with distress inks and the Color Drops STAX die-namics.  The sentiment is from the Town Bear stamp set.  The card base and main layer are Grout Gray cardstock (one of my faves!).

CAS-ual Fridays Inspiration Challenge

Hi all!  Welcome back for more fun with the CAS-ual Fridays Inspiration Challenges!  I hope y'all had a great holiday break!  And in case you missed it, CAS-ual Fridays Stamps has a NEW release!  I've used one of the stamp sets - Hot Coffee - as well as one of the new Fri-dies - To Go Cup.

Beary Big Congratulations

Hi all!  MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!  I truly hope everyone has a wonderful holiday surrounded by love.  :)   I found some crafty time the other day and made this for the current MFTWSC364 sketch.  I colored up some of the images from the MFT Town Bear set using my Copics.  I also used the Our Town die-namics to cut out some chevron patterned paper for the strip behind the main images and sentiment.

The Card Concept Challenge Time

Hi all!  Well, I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I am sure ready for Friday to get here...  Geez Louise, what a week already!  Question - what laptop do you prefer?  Seriously thinking it's time for a new one.  This Mac is slooooooowwwwwww.   Anyway - Happy Hump Day!  Back at it with our last challenge of this year (what in the WORLD?!) over on The Card Concept Blog.  I was inspired by the great color combo in the inspiration picture, as well as that pretty twine and the hand lettering on the packages.  I colored up one of those sweet MFT Bitty Bears with old Stampin' Up watercolor pencils on kraft paper.  The sentiment is also from that set.  And can I add how frustrating it is that it gets dark so early.  I had to work hard to get these pics (I only like taking pics in natural light), lol!
