Honey Bee Stamps New Release Blog Hop!

Hi all!  It's FINALLY here!  Welcome to the Honey Bee Stamps Blog Swim!  It's an ocean-themed release so yes, we're having a swim, not a hop!  Everything is available for purchase Now in our shop HERE.  And we're going to Shellabrate with some sweet prizes! ;)  TWO lucky winners will each receive a $50 gift certificate to the Honey Bee store!  All you have to do is comment on the Honey Bee stamps Blog, as well as all of the other designers, by July 16th.  Winners will be announced July 17th at Noon PST.  The fun gets started on the Honey Bee Blog HERE!

My first card features the lovely Mermaid Song stamp set.  I love that this image is so big.  This card measures about 4 1/2 x 4 1/2, to give you an idea.  I stamped it on watercolor paper then used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to color everything in.  I added the Hello dies (cut out with Blu Raspberry and Smooth White card stocks) without trying to cover up too much of the image.

For my second card, I used the sweet Ocean Bliss stamp set.  I colored the mermaid with Copics then covered the rock with Desert Oasis Sand.  I love the texture the sand adds to the finished card!  The 'waves' were hand cut from vellum and white card stock.  I used Copics on the backside of the vellum to color in the waves.  I also curved the 'Wish you were' part of the sentiment to go with the curve of my 'sun'.

Let's Celebrate!

Hi all!  We wanted to finish off our birthday month with a bang so welcome to our YNS Birthday blog hop!  Here's my card using the newly released Martini Birds stamp set!  I colored them with Copics and added some stickles to the little umbrella.  The sentiment, also from the set, was cut out using one of the 3D Banner dies.  I stamped the confetti stamp in the set in grapesicle ink to create the background.  I added more stickles to a strip of card stock and some blingy brads (they're purple in case you can't tell) for added sparkle!  The card base is pool party and I used Blu Raspberry for the layering.  I like this sentiment because it covers a variety of events - from birthdays to promotions and several things in between!

For my project, I used one of my favorite YNS Digital Stamps, Sweet Spring.  I colored it with Copics then added some clouds with a stencil and Sno Cone ink.  I added the die-namic, Celebrate, because that's what this hop is ALL about!!!  ;)  The little tab and die-namic button help pick up some of the colors in the flowers.  The sketch is from the June Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen theme!  You really should check out the Dirty Dozen gallery - SO worth the membership price!!!

 We're currently doing some spring cleaning around here and everything in the store is ON SALE – even the new items are 20% off so now is the time to shop!

For my project I'm using the clear stamp set (yes, we have TWO NEW clear sets releasing TODAY in addition to new Digis!) called Summer Blossom Fluffy Kitten.  This image is absolutely aDORable and comes with 4 sentiments!  As usual, I colored it with my Copics then cut it out with die-namics.  I used one of the sentiments from the set and added some white sugar gumdrops, also from YNS.  I just love these gumdrops and they're ON SALE!  The color combo is the CTD294.

Your Next Stamp - May Release Blog Hop!

Hi all!  Welcome to the May YNS Digital Release Blog Hop!  We have several ADORABLE new images being released TODAY in the YNS Store, so hop along with us to get a peek at these new cuties by Omnia Designs!

I used the new digi, Beautiful Bouquet.  Isn't she just SO sweet with the big bouquet and sun hat??  Love her!  I colored her with Copics then cut her out using my pierced circle STAX.  I helped make her the focus of the card by placing her in the center of the sun ray die-namics.  The "Hello" is from one of my MFT Blueprints, then I stamped "Sunshine" in lemon drop ink.  The sun ray die-namics are up on dimensionals for even more interest.

Here's a close up...  I added a few enamel dots for the finishing touch.

For my card, I used the Looking Chic digi.  She and her pup are so sweet, I couldn't resist her!  I colored her with copics and added stickles to her purse.  I added a stippled, or dotted, sort of background with copics, as well.  A bit of pink lemonade ribbon, brads, and a button with thread add the finishing touches.
