Sweet apples!

Hi all! Thought I'd share another card with you! Stamping regularly does wonders for the soul!!! ;)
I made this for the Flourishes blog challenge which was to use reds, pinks and white. I used the cute little apple from the Apple of my eye set. I colored them with copics and SU markers (but mostly copics!). The dp is from a retired SU pack. The red strips were scored and I pierced around the entire card base. The sentiment is from the set that has blueberries and raspberries (can't think of the name) and I sponged around it using pink and red inks. Oh, and if you can't tell, the apple layer is up on dimensionals! And guess what I did, can you see it? I stamped on the inside of the card! Haha, not a big deal and nothing fancy, but I think it's a nice subtle touch for the inside to stamp using the pink ink on the pink base.
Alrighty, time to hit the hay!

A triple challenge card!

Yes, it took me just a little motivation to stamp - three challenges!!!! This was made for the current SFYTT, Color Throw Down and the Flourishes blog challenge, FTTC99 (which I was 9 minutes too late to upload to, bummer!). I was lucky enough to find these scraps of baja and cameo cardstock to use for the color throw down challenge. This image was given to me a while back from my sweet friend, Stacy. See that little mini rolled rose on the center of my bow? That's my new MFT mini rolled rose die-namic! SO CUTE!!!! I added a silver gem to the center.
Thanks for stopping by!

hugs,

p.s. Can you believe I posted two days in a row?! ;)

A merry Flourish challenge

Hi again! Aaahhh, don't you just love holidays? Time off from work, spending time with your family and oh, yea, STAMPING time! Lots to be thankful for!
Here's a card I made for the Flourishes blog challenge FTTC94. I ordered this new set, Christmas Classics a couple of weeks ago and it has been calling my name! Love this set with it's classic images and sweet sentiments. I paper pieced the stockings and colored the rest copics and SU markers. I added frosted lace stickles to the white parts of the stockings. The sentiment was spritzed with some marshmallow glimmer mist.
Thanks for stopping by!

Do pearls go with gingham?

Well, I think so! At least on this card, ha! Kind of an elegant country look, no? I made this for Flourishes new release blog challenge to make a card inspired by a games that kids play. I went with four square. I'd never heard of it before, but my boys have loved playing it at school for a couple of years now.
This is my first card with one of my newest Flourishes stamps. And btw, have you seen their new Sunflower set????!!! Jaw dropping, I tell you! This is colored w/ copics, then sponged with regal rose SU ink. The gingham dp is a retired one from SU. It was tough cutting that image into four squares, I have to say, but I like the final look. I added a button w/ hemp to the ribbon and some pearls on the corners of the riding hood red layer to finish it all up. I'll add a sentiment to the lower right square of the main image once I need it for an occasion.
Thanks for stopping by!

A Flourishes sketch card

I know, I know, calm down! I posted a card! We had spring break last week and though I didn't get to stamp every day, I did make a few cards and it was sooo nice! We stayed local, enjoyed the weather, played 2-hand touch football (which reminded just how out of shape I am!), got some yard work done and just chilled. Has this year not flown by? Someone said that we only have 50 days of school left! Crazy! Ok, on to the card stuff...
In case you weren't aware, I totally *love* Flourishes! Their stamps, their dt, the company - they're just fab in my book! This week, they had a sketch as their weekly challenge. I didn't intend to have this image used as the left side of the circle, but once I colored it and cut it down, it was just too big for the middle of the sketch. I think you can click on the picture to get an up close look at the image. Coloring images is so therapeutic for me! The middle of the sentiment is popped up w/ a pop dot, that's why it looks like it's not flat, because, well, it's not! ;) Was going for that banner effect. I wanted to add something to the card base, so went w/ the swirly embossing folder and pierced on the top and bottom of the design.
Thanks for stopping by!

Multi challenge waterlily card

Ok, here's the run down of all the challenges this card was made for:

FTTC25 ~ add shimmer
CC228 ~ pink, rust, navy
WT228 ~ add a charm
DTDG09KrystieLee ~ add something clear
DTGD09eggette ~ something w/ wings
DTGD09Becca_Stamps ~ use die cuts/punches
DTGD09Lauraly ~ use ribbon
DTGD09One_Happy_Stamper ~ this sketch

Yep, that's 8 challenges on one card!!!! Everything just seemed so easy to add, that it just all fell together. The waterlilies were spritzed w/ Gold Glimmer Mist (I don't have any Shimmerz). The stamped using my navy marker, then again in versamark and embossed w/ clear ep. The gems are clear domes. Not much of the rust on here, but I used a rust marker on my flowers (click on the picture and you may be able to tell). Thanks for stopping by! I'm working on more Dare To Get Dirty challenges and will have some Clear Dollar Stamps card to post soon, so don't go far!

Lavendar aliens!

What??!!! Didn't you know aliens are lavendar and all sparkly?? hehe! I had so much fun w/ this new set from CDS! I used a copic and SU marker to color them, covered their eyes w/ crystal effects and the rest of them w/ stickles! Their spaceship was embossed w/ clear ep on the banana layer ~ look closely, it's there! Went w/ a tag theme for Flourishes blog challenge.

TFL!!!
