MFTWSC301 - Are you Yeti for Christmas?

Hi all!  Here is my take on the MFTWSC301 sketch using the most adorable Yeti stamp set by MFT.  I got the set and dies from Butterfly Reflections Ink - thanks to their SUPER fast shipping, I was able to play with this set today!  I created masks for the trees and Yeti's, then stamped everything in kraft hybrid ink.  I heat set it then colored everything with Copics. For the background, I masked off a snowy hill using an element from Blueprints 25, then used Blu Raspberry, Blueberry and Grape Jelly inks for sponging.  For the circle part of the sketch, I cut out some vellum using the Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX so it didn't take away from the scene I had created.  I then curved a sentiment to match the die also from Blueprints 25.

Can't thank you enough

Hi all!  Happy Thanksgiving!!!  I thought I would make a thank you card for the occasion :D  I used Wispy Wishes and a sentiment form the From Us set.  And yes, that's a strip of torn vellum behind the sentiment strip.  It adds a little something extra to the card without adding bulk.  A great Clean And Simple card that can be easily reproduced.  Use different stamps to fit the occasion and change the sentiment for tons of options!

Thank YOU for stopping by!  I hope you are having a wonderful time with family and friends and have LOTS to be thankful for!

Peace, love and pumpkin pie!

Bold thanks

Hi all!  Here's a card I made using the FREE when you spend $40 TAWS set for this month called Unique Peek.  I embossed the flowers on watercolor paper in a random pattern, then used my Zig pens to colors them in with bold colors.  I knew I wanted to layer vellum over the top, so the bolder, the better for this one! The sentiment is from Jibber Jabber (so many fun sentiments in lots of COOL fonts!).  I embossed it with white embossing powder.  I also added thin black strips of card stock to the long sides of the main image to help ground it a bit and break up all the bright pink.

Thinking of You

Hi all!  Here's a card I made for a trio of challenges:  CQC260, SCS sketch SC507 and the SCS WT498.  This cool tree and sentiment are from the new LJD Out on a Limb set - love it!  I inked the tree itself with kraft ink, then inked my woodgrain BG stamp with hot chocolate and used the good ol' kissing technique to create the woodgrain tree!  The other colors used are lemon drop and tangy orange.  I used that same woodgrain BG on the tangy orange layer (behind the main image).  That cool plaid strip on the left was created using the Plaid background builder in nightshift blue, kraft, lemon drop and tangy orange inks.  The sentiment is stamped on vellum and then attached over the main image with gold brads.

Thanks for looking!

MFTWSC162 - Another Hello

Hi all!  Here's my card for last week's MFTWSC162 using the MPD Contemporary Roses set.  I couldn't pass up this awesome sketch!  I used lemon drop and cotton candy and razzle berry inks.  For the yellow roses, I inked up the larger image then used the stamping off technique, then stamped the smaller outline image fully inked so that it was darker.  I used my beloved pierced circle STAX to cut out the image.  I stamped "Hello" from the same set onto vellum and attached it with brads.  I also used my fishtail flag STAX and square STAX.  You know what makes me happy?  Having cardstock handy that perfectly matches my designer paper!  In this case, jellybean green was my match made in heaven, lol!  A little piercing and some hemp thread add the finishing details.
