The Card Concept Challenge #73

Hi all!  It's Hump Daaaaayyy and time for a new challenge on The Card Concept Blog!  This week is a cool one that made me go with a little more of a distressed look - haven't done that in a bit!  I used the Birch Press Design Paradiso Butterfly dies (layers A, B and C).  I layered them together then adhered them to a background I created with an MFT background stamp.  I sponged the edges of that layer with some Ranger Distress ink.  The sentiment is also from Birch Press Design.

Thanks for stopping by!  We hope that you play along with us!

Lil' Inker Designs - New Release Blog Hop Day 1

Hi all!  Welcome to Day 1 of the Lil' Inker Designs New Release Blog Hop!

Hopefully you arrived from Jen's blog because I don't want you to miss a thing!  I am totally loving this release - we have SO much in store for you!  My card today features The Little Things stamp set.  It also has matching dies. {yay!} I wanted to go for a folk art/vintage feel for this card, so I used some funky colored ink combos to create my own designer paper.  I cut it out with a scalloped die, then added the twine and button trio.  The So Happy For You boxed die was cut out of kraft paper once, then Razzleberry card stock twice.

Next up on the hop is Joy - don't miss her beautiful work HERE!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  See you tomorrow for more New Release inspiration!

Hugs ~

Happy Toile Birthday

Hi all!  Here's a card I made using a couple of sets from Lil' Inker Designs new release, along with an older set.  Laura had mentioned that the Vintage Flower Stamps were designed with toile in mind {hence the 'Vintage' part, lol}, so I thought I'd made a classic blue and white toile card.  I created my own pattern {with the help of my Mini Misti tool that I just used for the first time!} with Cornflower ink on Sweet Tooth card stock.  I then used the Vintage Label die to cut out matching Cornflower card stock, then embossed two of the stamps from the Vintage Label Sentiment stamp set.  The 'Happy Birthday' is from the Sketched Floral stamp set - it fits so perfectly with the Vintage set and die!  I used the Quilted Stitched Pattern die on the Cornflower card stock layer to add to the vintage feel.  I might just have to make a whole rainbow set of these cards!

SACC - Happy Birthday

Hi all!  Welcome to another round of anything goes on the SACC blog!  The small script dp was cut out using one of the elements in the Blueprints 1 then sponged with some distressing ink.  The flowers and leaves are from the LJD Sweet Roses set and were cut out using the LJD Roses and Leaves die-namics.  I colored them with my SU watercolor pencils and blended with my aquapainter - SO fun to do!!!  The sentiment is from the LJD Pretty Poppies set and was cut out using my Fishtail Flags STAX.   I added tiny black brads to the flower centers and some lace to add to the vintage look.

Close up...
