Just thinking of an MFT sketch

Hi all! Hope you've enjoyed your weekend! I'm fortunate enough to have Monday off, so I'm up late stamping!
I made this card for the newest MFT sketch challenge which you can see HERE. This sweet PI is one of the newest releases called Because You're Special. I paper pieced her dress and little jacket then cut her out and put her up on mini glue dots. The saffron dp layer she is on is up on dimensionals. Feels SO good to use up the dp I've had for years! I changed the position of the banner on the sketch and also moved the three little dots to the top left of the olive dp.
Thanks for stopping by and comments are MUCH appreciated ;)!!!

Sweet apples!

Hi all! Thought I'd share another card with you! Stamping regularly does wonders for the soul!!! ;)
I made this for the Flourishes blog challenge which was to use reds, pinks and white. I used the cute little apple from the Apple of my eye set. I colored them with copics and SU markers (but mostly copics!). The dp is from a retired SU pack. The red strips were scored and I pierced around the entire card base. The sentiment is from the set that has blueberries and raspberries (can't think of the name) and I sponged around it using pink and red inks. Oh, and if you can't tell, the apple layer is up on dimensionals! And guess what I did, can you see it? I stamped on the inside of the card! Haha, not a big deal and nothing fancy, but I think it's a nice subtle touch for the inside to stamp using the pink ink on the pink base.
Alrighty, time to hit the hay!

A triple challenge card!

Yes, it took me just a little motivation to stamp - three challenges!!!! This was made for the current SFYTT, Color Throw Down and the Flourishes blog challenge, FTTC99 (which I was 9 minutes too late to upload to, bummer!). I was lucky enough to find these scraps of baja and cameo cardstock to use for the color throw down challenge. This image was given to me a while back from my sweet friend, Stacy. See that little mini rolled rose on the center of my bow? That's my new MFT mini rolled rose die-namic! SO CUTE!!!! I added a silver gem to the center.
Thanks for stopping by!

p.s. Can you believe I posted two days in a row?! ;)

New goodies and an MFT sketch

Hi all, those few that still stop by to see what I'm up to, hehe! I got to stamp again! Wahoo! And look, I got some new MFT goodies!!! This is the set "I love us" from their newest release. TOOOO cute, huh?! Happy to say that my hubby's valentine's day card is done! The patterned paper is Echo Park's Be Mine pack. I colored them with SU and copics to match the paper. I used a gold spica pen for her eyeshadow and drew him a striped tie for extra details. Oh, and I punched out some hearts, laid them on the black cs and spritzed it with marshmallow glimmer mist. Yes, I went a little overboard with this card! Annndddd, I sponged around the main image and sentiment. Ok, done! Need to get to bed, loooong week ahead! Nite all and thanks for stopping by!

Celebrate!

Hi all! My hubby was nice enough to take the boys with him for an overnight getaway (he had to go for business), so I had time to stamp. Great way to start off the new year, right?! I made this banner card for the MFT guest designer challenge. The banner at the top is an MFT die-namic and the little patterned pink edging is from the same die. The sentiment was stamped out using an MFT alpha set, which I then cut into a banner, of course! Added some bling and there ya go - first new birthday card of the year!
Wish me luck!!! Now, back to reality tomorrow - first day of work in two week! Ick.

Happy New Year and...

Happy Birthday to me! ;) Yep, entering a whole new decade, NOT that I'm thrilled about it, but hey, I'm THANKFUL to be here and to have the most wonderful little family to celebrate with! Here's a pic (one of over a hundred!) I took last night. Our neighbors put on quite a display and I went a little snap-happy! Here's another fave:
I sure hope this year brings many wonderful blessings for you all!!! Enjoy the little things and take time for yourself - that's MY plan, anyway!!!

A manly sketch challenge with a Colour Q

Hi all and Merry {late} Christmas!!!! I hope it was a great one with lots of yummy food and quality family time! We definitely enjoyed ours and the monsters seemed quite happy with all of their new things. On to the card!

First of all, I got a new camera and I mention this because I wanted to upload this card to Splitcoast and I can't crop it small enough to do so! Bummer! So I guess I need to check some settings (or if anyone has a clue what to do, please share!) and try again. I made this for the sketch challenge this week AND for the ColourQ challenge. I love their challenges and have stalked them for a while, but this will be my first time participating. We needed a card for one of my hubby's coworkers and since it's been sooo long since I stamped, I needed a LOT of guidance on where to get started. *note: I have never claimed to be much of a seamstress, especially when it comes to straight lines, so anything that does turn out straight, was purely an act of God! *a note on that note: Now I know why they're called a "seamstress" because "sewer" looks like that place where the alligators live (ha, name that movie!). Moving on... I ran the olive layer through my 'bug using the houndstooth folder and the basic gray layer is already textured. The tree layer is up on dimensionals. I colored the tree with SU markers. The sentiment is from an Elzybells (*sniff*) set. Added a little sewing and done!
Well, for those of you that check in once in a while, I truly appreciate it! I promise to make myself stamp more and therefore, POST more to my poor little blog!
I hope that 2011 brings you all many blessings! Happy New Year!!!!!
