MFT Card Design Supterstar Contest - 3rd card!

Hi all! Here's my final card for the Innovative category of the MFT Card Design Superstar Contest. I got the idea for this one after watching THE Jennifer McGuire's video for tunnel cards. This one was SO fun to make! :) I used the Bitty Bears, Birthday Bears and Up in the Air stamp sets. The black and white patterned paper is from MFT, as well as the cotton candy and black licorice cardstock. All images were colored with Copics. I did add a little shimmer to all of the birthday hats and banners with a clear Wink of Stella pen. I curved the sentiment so it matched the banner die-namic that is in a retired Blueprints set. I also stamped some of the cardstock with the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots BG stamp using ripe raspberry ink.

MFT Card Design Superstar Contest - 2nd card!

Hi all!  I'm back with another card for the MFT Card Design Superstar contest because, well, you gotta be in it to win it! FINGERS CROSSED! Here's my coloring virtuoso card using the BB Mermazing set. The small island is from the Party Like a Pirate set and the sentiment is from the Beach Buds set (it seemed fitting for this card). :)  I used several MFT inks. You can even see a few stars that I stamped in sweet tooth ink from the retired Totally Happy set. I used a white gel pen to add a bit of glisten to the water and also some dimension to her tail.

MFT Card Design Superstar Contest!

HI all!  Here's my card for the Clean And Simple category of the MFT Card Design Superstar contest. I used the Floral Fantasy background for this sympathy card.  I embossed the stamp with white embossing powder, then colored with my Zig pens, blending with water as I went. I added a twist to the card by cutting the image then adhering to acetate to create my card front. The sentiment is from Brushstroke Expressions. There are some amazing entries in ALL of the categories, so I'm SUPER nervous!

Happy Birthday!

Hi all!  Yes, back to back posts!  That's what ya gotta do when there's a contest deadline!  Here's my card for the Coloring Virtuoso Category in the MFT contest!  I'm worried I should've put it in the Clean & Simple Genius category but it is what it is ;)  I love the color combo!  The leaves from Funky Flowers are embossed on the Cement Gray card stock.  The flowers were colored with Copics.    The sentiment is from the Up in the Air set.

You're Great!

Hi all!  Here's my Innovation Master Challenge Card for the MFT contest!  This is a Z-Fold card.  The first pick is of it completely open and flat.  Lots of sponging and coloring with Copics.  All MFT card stock and images, of course!!!

This pic show it closed. (well, somewhat)  ;)  This would be what you would see when you take it out of an envelope.

Here, part of it is laying on my little card stand.

It's Time to Party

HI all!  So one of my absolute favorite crafting companies, My Favorite Things, is having a MEGA contest!  I created this card for the Clean And Simple category.  This bear knows how to decorate for a party :D  Lots of masking of balloons but I just love it!  The balloons are from the retired Panda set.  I couldn't pass up the BB Bitty Bears stamp set from the latest release.  I added two extra balloons for him to hold ;)  The sentiment is also from that set.  The cool 'floor' he's standing on was cut out with one of the Blueprints elements and is from the Black & White Basics paper pack.  Everything was colored with Copic Markers.  A trio of sequins finish it off.

MFT Card Design Superstar Contest - entry #3

Hi all!  Here's my final entry for the MFT Card Design Superstar Contest!  I inked up the gorgeous LJD Geometric Greenery stamp set and colored the leaves with my Zig clear color real brush pens and an aquabrush, along with a few extras that I cut and adhered over the pierced circle STAX vellum layer with the embossed sentiment from the same set.  I layered the quilt square cover-up die-namic over the leaves for extra interest.  I guess you could say I'm ready for fall with these colors ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

MFT Card Design Superstar Contest entry #2

Hi all!  Here's another fun card I made for the MFT Card Design Superstar Contest!  EEKKKKKK - my nervesssss!!!!  Ha!  Anyway, I really am thrilled with how this card turned out.  :)  I used these MFT goodies:  Llama Love stamp set (and matching die-namics), Sweet Forest Friends stamp set (and matching die-namics),  stitched speech bubble edges die-namics (used to cut out the mask for the hill and sky), an element from Blueprints 13 and Blueprints 29, plus several inks to color the critters and do the sponging.  The card base is smooth white card stock.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  And again, lots of luck to everyone that has entered!  I would not want to be a judge!!!

MFT Card Design Superstar Contest entry #1

Hi all!  So here is my first entry for the MFT Card Design Superstar contest!  To say I'm nervous is a SERIOUS understatement.  There's So. Much. Talent that has already applied, but I just had to throw my hat in the ring, ya know??  My first card is this one using these MFT goodies:  chunky herringbone stencil, the die from the Grateful for You combo, elements from the Blueprints 29, several MFT inks, and a sentiment from the new LJD Geometric Greenery set (plus a few little PPP sequins).  I had SO much fun making this card ;-)

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Lots of luck to all of the contestants!!!

Bloom and Be Happy

Hi all!  Here's another card I made for the MFT Card Design Superstar card contest.  I used the gorgeous and newly released Etched Flower background stamp.   First, I embossed on it onto some watercolor paper (in liquid platinum EP) and also a piece of smooth white card stock (in clear EP).  On the watercolor paper, I colored in a particular flower, a leaf and a stem with my Zig pens, then cut out what I had colored.  I used on of my favorite Blueprints - #20 - to cut out the smooth white card stock then adhered it to my banana split card base with foam adhesive.  I then placed the watercolored flower over the same part of the smooth white card stock where it belonged.  The sentiment is from the BB Sunflower Sweetheart set.  I curved it to match the curve of the Blueprints 25 element that I stamped it on, then added a few sequins as a final detail.
