You're Awesome

Hi all!  Happy World Card Making Day!!!  Yes, for my non-crafty friends, it IS a thing!  ;)  I HAD to make a card for this special day so here ya go.  I used the MFTWSC248 sketch to create this card.  SCS is having their Hope You Can Cling To Challenge going on right now.  It's all about supporting breast cancer research and creating cards to send to some amazing patients at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.  Today's challenge is "I am a Warrior", so of course, this image from the You're Super set was perfect.  I embossed her on watercolor paper then colored her with my Zig pens.  I used several MFT die-namics to create the layers.  The rounded stitched rectangle was done by smushing some Picked Raspberry Distress Ink onto watercolor paper and spritzing it.  Once it was dried, I laid the Starry Night stencil over the top then pressed onto with a wet paper towel so that it would pick up the ink where the stars were - clear as much??  Lol!  You can see the subtle stars here and there - totally love how it turned out!  And I love that silver glittered paper!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you find some time to get crafty!  :D

You mean the world to me

Hi all!  I wanted to share this card that I made during my gig as one of the Dirty Dozen Girls over on SCS.  I love that 'little' stamping community!  I've been a member since 2006 (yikes!) and still chat with many of the ladies I met on that site - shout out to the Challenge Chasers!  Alright...  on to the card. ;)  I stamped the MFT abstract background stamp with Versamark then embossed with clear EP onto watercolor paper.  I then used various ink refills to color in my 'globe'.  Once dried, I cut it out with my Circle STAX, then popped it up onto grout gray card stock.  The sentiment was spelled out using the Express Yourself stamp set (love!).  I rounded the bottom corners of the card stock for a little extra interest.  Pretty simple, but I so love how it turned out!

You are FAB

Hi all!  Just sharing a Clean And Simple card I made for a couple of challenges - CTD317 and one of the Hope You Can Cling To challenges on SCS, which is an amazing and inspiring group of challenges where we are encouraged to send the cards we make to MD Anderson.  So who couldn't use a little reminder of just how FABulous they are?!  I used the MFT Woodgrain BG stamp and a sentiment from their Bold Statements set.  The card base is Sno Cone and I also used grape jelly and sweet tooth card stocks.  A bit of black thread, some black button brads and a little bling finish it up.

Thanks for looking!  Stop by tomorrow for a SNEAK PEEK at our Your Next Stamp NEW RELEASE for November!  You are going to LOVE IT!!!

Your Next Stamp - New Release After Party

Hi all!  I sure hope y'all enjoyed this month's YNS new release blog hop!  Lots of gorgeousness!  How about our new website, huh?!  So prettttyyyyy!!!  Go HERE to check it out!  And we're back today with more eye candy for ya using the newly released goodies!  My card features the Waddles - Snow Fun set and dies.  Hehe, love them!  I paper pieced the ornaments and added glossy accents to them and also his beak.  I love using non-traditional designer papers and colors for Christmas cards.  ;)  The sketch is from the monthly Dirty Girl theme on SCS. I colored the twine with a matching Copic and added some new blue sapphire glittered gumdrops (yep, those are a pretty navy blue, not black) and pink lemonade glittered gumdrops!  I just love the new sizes!  And did I mention they're GLITTERED!?!?!!

Have a sweet day

Hi all!  Here's a card I made for one of the DTGD challenges on Splitcoaststampers last week.  The cupcakes and sentiment are from the BB Sweet Birthday Wishes set.  I used a few die-namics and Blueprints, as well as felt for the button to add texture and interest.

CC489, Happy birthday

Hi all!  Here's a Clean and Simple card for today's color challenge at SCS.  Love this color combo!!!  I scored the top and bottom edges of the pool party card stock.  I used the Happy Birthday die-namics to cut out "happy" from the grout gray card stock then added bermuda bay card stock behind it, popping it up on rolled glue dots.  I've been rolling my glue dots a lot lately, huh!?  I like the little bit of dimension that it adds without being too bulky.  The "birthday" was cut out of coral card stock.  I stamped the smallest bloom from Sweet Roses in grout gray then added a bling trio and some piercing for extra detail.  I also made this for The Cutting Edge Challenge #5.

Clean and Simple Happy Birthday

Hi all!  Just a quick clean and simple card I made for the, you guess it, Clean And Simple Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  The challenge is to use up ribbon scraps.  I dug through my ribbon bin and found the smallest scraps I could find.  I adhered them to a scrap piece of card stock then ran it through my Vagabond using MFT's Party Balloons die-namics.  The sentiment is from a now retired MFT set, which I stamped in Razzle Berry ink.  The card base is lemon drop and measures 4x4.  I popped up the smooth white card stock and rounded one corner.  Easy schtuff!!!  ;)

Nothing but blue skies ahead

Hi all!  Here's a card I made for two challenges over on Splitcoaststampers!  Today's technique challenge (by my old stamping friend, Judy!) was scoring (hence the criss-crossing trio of scores lines) and the CAS (Clean And Simple) challenge was "a day at the beach".  There are lots of things that just scream 'beach!' and I think palm trees is one of them.  I love, LOVE the beach!!!  I paper pieced the entire palm tree from an old There She Goes set (by Torico, who now designs for MFT).  The sentiment is from the Blue Skies Ahead set, which I stamped in kraft ink and cut out with the pierced circle from Blueprints 3.  The card base is Blu Raspberry.

SACC - Thank you for all you do

Hi all!  It's Friday {yay!} which means it's time for another SACC!  Our sponsor this week is Digi Stamps 4 Joy and I chose to use their cute little Book Worm.  He's colored with copics.  The sentiment is from the MFT a la modes An Apple for Teacher set.  Can you say "ahead of the game"?  Boo-yah!!! :)  It doesn't happen often, so pardon my excitement!  I edged the sentiment (which was cut out using the Fishtail Flags STAX) with a black marker just to help it stand out a little more.  I got the sketch from a challenge over on SCS - it's Dare to get Dirty week and if you're not a member, I highly encourage all you crafters out there to JOIN because well, you're missing out!!!!

Howdy

Hi all!  Here's a card I made for SCS's Color Combo challenge #414.  The sentiment and boots are from MFT's Wild Wild West set.  I stamped the boots in their kraft ink and the sentiment using my espresso SU marker.  The little horseshoe is cut from the Country Charms die-namics in hot fudge cardstock.  The sentiment was cut out using the LLD Accent It - Flags & Tags die-namics (I sure do use those a lot!).  The celery cardstock was cut out using the postage stamp border die-namic and the pinking edge die-namic.  A little piercing and some twine finish up this Clean And Simple card.

TS Monday - Paper Piecing

Hi all!  I hope you're enjoying your Monday!  This week at Totally Stampalicious, we are challenging you to use paper piecing on your creation.  For my card I used the recently released Johnny Skateboard.  I paper pieced his jacket, shirt and jeans and used copics for everything else.  The sketch is the latest from the SCS Dirty Dozen theme (which you have to be a member of to view - SO worth the membership!).  I used a few MFT die-namics and added some piercing to the sentiment for added detail.

Close up of the paper piecing...

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget, Totally Stampalicious is still having a HUGE BLOWOUT SALE!!!  ALL stamps are only $5!!!  Sounds like a great time to go shopping!!  ;)

Wishing you...

Hi all!  I wanted to share a card I made for today's Featured Stamper challenge on SCS.  I used two different MFT sets ~ Polka Dot Greetings and Die-namic and Finishing Flourishes.  I stamped the sentiments with MFT's new INK, Razzle Berry.  Love, LOVE this ink!  It stamps sooooo evenly.  GREAT stuff, I tell ya!  I also used a few MFT die-namics and some yummy vintage seam binding from the Ribbon Carousel.

Stay tuned because later this week, we will be having a TOTALLY STAMPALICIOUS NEW RELEASE BLOG HOP!!!  ;)

Happy Birthday!

Hi all and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  Well, still a few more hours to go for us ~ we're hanging out at home, playing games and watching Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve.  Good times ;)  Since we've been relaxing all day {and with my birthday tomorrow, yep New Year's Day!}, I found some time to get stampy.  This card uses the SCS Technique challenge - Chalkboard and this week's MFT sketch.  With the birth of a new year and my birthday all in one day, why not make a birthday card?!  I broke out MFT's Let's Toast set and die-namics.  The "Happy Birthday" was embossed with white ep, then I used some white ink to sponge around the edge to get more of that "chalkboard" look and added the stars.  The circles on the wine glasses make me think of bubbly champagne.  I added stickles to the rim of the glasses.  The sentiment was cut out with the Labels STAX 2.  The banner was made using the Banner Day Die.

Close up...

As always, thanks for stopping by!!!  I sure do appreciate all of you that stop by and leave such sweet comments ;)  Be safe and may 2013 bring MANY BLESSINGS your way!!!!

Hugs,
