Celebrate You

Hi all!  I did a little crafting just for fun using some new Concord & 9th stamps and dies!  Their Blooms Fill-In stamp set was irresistible!  I embossed the 'You' from the All About You die set with gold embossing powder.  'Celebrate' is from the same die set and was cut out three times then layered.

Birch Press Design & Poppystamps time!

Hi all!  I'm so excited for today because we have a special Birch Press Design and Poppystamps collaboration for you!

You should have arrived here from the Poppystamps Blog.  I fell in love with this Merry Christmas Circle Frame die as soon as I saw it!  For my first card, I cut out some paper I had watercolored and layered it a few times for extra dimension.  I rounded the corners of the front of the card, keeping it all very clean and simple.

For my second card, I cut out some silver foil paper with the Merry Christmas die, then added red card stock behind it.  I added some versa mark leaves from the Brushed Christmas Greetings stamp set from Birch Press Designs.  This would be a GREAT mass production card design - just change up the card stock colors!

Be sure to comment along the way for your chance to win.  *hint - a little birdie told me that one of the winning comments will be picked from the Birch Press Design blog*  Next up on the hop is Ilona!

Here's the entire hop list so you don't miss a thing!

YNS DT Dare - Easter Greetings

Hi all!  Welcome to the YNS DT Dare challenge!  This month, our 'dare' was to use stripes and/or polka dots.  I used both :D  I colored Little Darling Katlyn with Copics, then cut her out with a circle die.  I inked up the sentiment, which is from the same set, separately so I could stamp them on different fishtail flag dies.  A few sparkly pink gumdrops and done!

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget that the newly released goodies are in the STORE now!

YNS Fun Friday - I'm a sucker for you!

Hi all!  YAY!  It's Friday and we have a new sketch and inspiration challenge for you over on the YNS Blog!  I loved the sketch and thought rolling hills of suckers would be so fun, hehe!  The sentiment and heart-shaped suckers are from the Sweet and Cool set.  And how fun is that sentiment??  I colored them with Copics, then cut them out with the matching dies.  The hills were made using the hills die set.  When using the smallest die, I will run it through my machine once, then line it up to match the curve that I just cut and run it through again if I need a longer hill.  Clear as mud, lol?  Some twine and a button add the finishing details.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to hop over to the YNS Blog for more inspiration and PLAY ALONG for your chance to WIN a YNS gift certificate!

Your Next Stamp New Release Blog Hop!

Hi all!  Welcome to the YNS January New Release Blog Hop!

I am SO excited for y'all to see the release!  We truly have something for everyone!!  I have 3 boys, so I was super excited to work with this set called Keep On Trucking.  I mean, look at that digger, hehe!  And yes, they have matching dies, so no need to fussy cut!  I colored him with Copics then used the Hills Die Set to create hills and a road from different dp and some steel grey card stock.  How about that sentiment?  Perfect, right?!  Since this is a masculine card, I kept the embellishments to a single button with some twine.

Next up is the bookmark I made for our youngest kiddo.  Again, this mixer truck was colored with Copics, then cut out with the matching handy dandy dies.  {love!}  I used my fishtail flags STAX to cut out the banner from dp but also from card stock backing (you know the stuff that comes in a pack of 12x12 paper) so that it was really sturdy.  I stamped the sentiment in brown and tangy orange inks then stamped it on a circle die.  A hole punch and some thread and DONE!  He's not an avid reader, but does read quite a bit for school and such, so I know it'll get used, which is why I kept the embellishments to a minimum.  :)

Be sure to hop along for your chance to WIN a $20 gift certificate to the YNS Store!  And here's an even better reason to hop AND shop:

Oh, I just love a SALE!  :D  Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!

YNS Fun Friday - Merry and Bright!

HI all!  Happy Friday!  I looooove me some Friday!  But YIKES!  Christmas is SO CLOSE and I'm not done shopping!  Guess what I'll be doing this weekend... ;)  Anywho, here's my card for this week's Your Next Stamp Fun Friday challenge!  I went with the inspiration pic - such fun colors!  So guess what?!  This card took me about 15 minutes to make!  I already had the tree (from the Christmas Tree and Wreath die set) panel cut out from a previous card I made, so I simply added cotton candy and silver metallic (the pot) card stocks behind it.  My ornaments are green apple, blue raspberry and sterling silver gumdrops!  I layered the tree layer onto some steel grey card stock then popped that onto my grout gray card base which I embossed with one of my Blueprints 20 elements for extra detail.  The sentiment is from the Waddles - Snow Fun! set and is stamped in cotton candy ink (twice so that it was darker).

Your Next Stamp - New Release SNEAK PEEK!

Hi all!  Can you believe it's time for another new release from Your Next Stamp?!  I guess we get so busy that the last few months of the year just fly by... anyway... here's my sneak peek card featuring the LITTLE DARLING JACK set. So. Totally. ADORABLE!  Jack and his cute little sled-puller come separately, along with some great sentiments and a trio of snowflakes!  FUN!!!  I colored everything with my Copics then fussy cut it, leaving a bit of "snow" for them to run on.  I then layered them over Sno Cone card stock, which I had stamped the with the snowflakes from the set in sweet tooth ink.  I also sponged the sweet tooth ink around the edges to really give it a 'frosty' look.

Here's a peek at the inside...  I stamped the snowflakes again, this time in Sno Cone ink.  For the sentiment, which is from the set except that I stamped it all in one line, not stacked which is how it comes, I decided to make it fun and put it under the tear away tab using our large die.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to hop on over to the YNS Blog to see ALL of the SNEAK PEEKS!   Our New Release Blog Hop is SUNDAY and you won't want to miss a thing!

Your Next Stamp - Fun Friday!

Hi all!  We're back with a NEW sketch and color challenge for you at YNS!  For my card, I used the beautiful Winter Wishes set and matching dies.  Love, LOVE this set!  The sentiment is stamped in nightshift blue, then I added some snowflakes in jellybean green and Sno cone.  Maybe a bit of an interesting combo for snowflakes, but it's also for a color challenge on SCS ;)  The card base is Sno Cone and the dark layer is nightshift blue.  A few blue sapphire, white and silver gumdrops add the right touch (and also match the sketch, hehe!)!

I colored the twine with a matching Copic and added some new blue sapphire glittered gumdrops (yep, those are a pretty navy blue, not black) and pink lemonade glittered gumdrops!  I just love the new sizes!  And did I mention they're GLITTERED!?!?!!

YNS Fun Friday - Coffee + Friends

Hi all!  Here's my card using this month's Inspiration Photo on the Your Next Stamp challenge blog.  Again, I used the Thanks a Latte set - it's just so FUN and has matching dies, what's not to love?!  I stamped one of the cute little faces from the set on the belly band that was cut out with some DP.  I layered the cup onto a tag, added some thread, buttons and other dies for interest.  Even the little heart over the plus sign is from this set!  So sweet.  :)  The sketch is the retro sketches rs136.

Thanks for stopping by!  We have some EXCITING NEW goodies coming this weekend from Your Next Stamp!!!!  Stop by tomorrow to see a PEAK!
