TS Monday - a color challenge!

Hi all! This week's Totally Stampalicious! challenge is to use BLACK, ORANGE AND PURPLE. They may be more suited for Halloween cards, but I decided to go with Morning Margaret. Love the sentiment! Pretty suited for a Monday, right?!?! HA! She's colored with copics and is up on pop dots. The sketch is this weeks' MFT WSC. I added faux stitching on the polka dot panel, the purple scallop and right above the sentiment. Lots o' bling finish it up!

Have a fab week and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has created for you!!! **all links are on the right-->**

Merry challenge

Hi! Here's a card I made for one of the Flourishes blog challenges. You had to make a card using items based off your initials. So here's my AMR card:
A-angled layer
M-Merry Christmas sentiment
R-red (and ribbon)

Fortunately, a little birdie gave me some help with the "A" because I was stumped! Here's my first Christmas card of the year! To say I'm a little behind the power curve is an understatement... I had to grab this beauty of a set, Christmas Classics. LOVE it! The bells were colored with a silver gel pen. I spritzed the dizzy doily dienamic (behind the main image), the vintage flourish dienamic (tucked into the ribbon knot) and the sentiment layer with marshmallow glimmer mist. Of course, we all know how well shimmer photographs, so you can't see how cool it really looks! The angled layer is embossed. The main image and sentiment are up on pop dots.

The dp is a new Christmas pad from JilliBean Soup.

Bright birthday boy

Hello, for the third day in a row! It's funny how much stamping time you can get in when you're stuck at home because you discovered a leak in your garage! Yes, we finally got some MUCH needed rain in these parts and low and behold, we had a leak coming from the ceiling, down the inside of the wall and making a puddle in one corner of the garage. FUN. Not. But thank GOD for warranties - it's all getting fixed!
Anyway, I decided to make a bright birthday boy card using the Sweet Birthday Kids set from Totally Stampalicious! I colored him up over a week ago and found this week's sketch challenge on SCS perfect for him! I don't have enough kid birthday cards on hand, so now at least I have this one in my stash!

I love the fun rounded edges! I added some piercing, metal bling and popped this cutie up on pop dots for the finishing touches.
As always, thanks for stopping by!

Thankful

Hi! Here's a card I made for the MFT weekly sketch challenge #40. There's nothing more inspiring than using new goodies, right?! Love this a la mode with that big ol' pumpkin! She's colored with copics and marvys and the pumpkin was paper pieced. The sentiment was cut out using the fishtail banner dienamics. I also used the new postage stamp edge dienamic and one of the dizzy doily dienamics. Faux stitching and a button with some twine finish it up.

TS Monday - Thanksgiving!

Hi! Happy Monday! Time for another Totally Stampalicious! Monday challenge. Now, it's not quite time for Thanksgiving, at least not in the U.S. but Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends in Canada! So this week's challenge is to make a thank you card. I used Desiree Lollipop ~ CUTE!!!~ and one of the sentiments from the same set. "You're so sweet" is another way to say "thank you", I think, so I went with it! The sketch is from this week's SC on SCS. She's colored with copics. I added some bling and popped some layers up on pop dots. The sentiment was cut out with a dienamic.

Lately, I've been using the leftover dp from the card front on the inside so it cuts down on my scrap pile. Can I get an Amen for less scraps?! :)

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the dt has cooked up for you!

TS Monday - embossing

Hi! This weeks' Totally Stampalicious! challenge is to add some embossing, wet or dry, to your creation. I took the easy way and went with dry embossing on the tilted dp layer. After I embossed it, I sanded the embossed areas so it would stand out a little more. This is the sketch from last week's SC on Splitcoast. Sweet little Storybook Elizabeth worked perfectly with this sketch! The sentiment is from the Sweet Birthday Kids Bugaboo set from TS. And yes, I did that dotted background around Elizabeth again - it's so easy and such a fun look!

I apologize for the late post - drove over an hour to hit up a not so local scrapbook store and got some yummy new dp! Yay!!! Be on the look out... :)

Enjoy the simple things gift set

***little warning: picture heavy post***

Hi all! Hope everyone's enjoying nicer weather! It's crazy how cool a high in the upper 80s feels compared to our 100+ degree norm of the summer. On to the project!

I made this sweet little gift set for the latest MFT guest designer challenge. I've had that glass jar for at least a year and it was calling my name for this challenge! Ever since I got the new fence dienamics from MFT, I've had the idea to use the leafy flourish dienamic as a vine and weave it through the fence. That's where this whole project started! On the jar itself, I've used the
following dienamics: medium scallop, leafy flourish, woodgrain fence, dizzy doily duo, You Move Me, Homespun Birdhouse, and mini rolled roses. On the bag, I used these dienamics: leafy flourish, Tag You're It, dizzy doily duo, woodgrain fence and You Move Me (the little butterfly). The card has the following dienamics: woodgrain fence, leafy flourish, dizzy doily duo, You Move Me and the file tab for the sentiment, which I shortened using Joanne's helpful hint! Between the three items, I used the following stamp sets: Tag You're It, Aim High PI, Homespun Birdhouse and Feeling Froggy PI. The finishing touches are twine, lace and lots o' bling! Oh! And the "post" that the birdhouse is on was stamped onto cork then cut out.

If you made it all the way to the end of my post - thanks! Hope you enjoyed the extra detail pics! I'm happy to say that I have one teacher's gift DONE! And yes, those are peanut M&M's in the jar - don't worry, I won't be giving her those! She'll get a fresh batch, ha!
