Hello shaker

Hi all!  We're shaking things up on the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Blog!  I embossed the Modern Petals image with white embossing powder then sponged over the center with sour apple ink and the edges with lush lagoon ink.  The sentiment is from a recently retired CAS set.  Shaker cards are so fun, I really need to make more of them!  Don't forget to play along with us for your chance to WIN! :D

Shaker thanks

Hi all!  Here's a card I made using a sentiment from the newly released TAWS set called Lite Brite.  I stamped it in versa mark on black card stock then embossed it with white EP.  The background inside the shaker was created using a few different distress markers.  I picked a color, swiped it a few times on my acrylic block, spritzed it with water, then laid my smooth white card stock over it.  Repeated with different colors, drying each one with my heat gun before going to the next.  I decided to use this picture because it shows those background colors better.  The star sequins are from Tinsel & Co.

Thanks for stopping by!  Swing by the TAWS blog for more inspiration and to wish our fearless leader, Alison, a Happy Birthday!  :D

SugarPea Designs Sneak Peek Day 3!!!

Hi all!  Welcome to DAY 3 of SugarPea Designs sneak peeks!  Today we are showing you Hot Diggity Dog and new SugarCuts called Homescape.  So I colored up two of the dogs in the set and then after looking at all of the sentiments, it hit me.  Shaker card!  So the little guy (who looks just like my doxie, Dexter) on the lower left is inside the shaker and is telling his friend to 'shake off' his 'ruff' day, lol!  And hopefully now you're singing the Taylor Swift song because I sure was while I was making this ;)

Here it is upright...  all of the sequins are from Butterfly Reflections Ink!

Now, for my second card ~ I had SO much fun creating this little scene!  All from the Homescape Sugarcuts!  I cut it out of Neenah white card stock, then used my Copics to color it.  I even tried to give the house a 'brick' look, hehe!  I cut the curve along the grass and along the white card stock layer by hand ~ I thought it would be fun to have a curvy edge.  The sentiment is actually from the Hot Diggity Dog set but is so perfect with this die!

Remember our entire March Product Release will be available for purchase in the SugarPea Designs Store on Friday, March 13th at 6:00 PM EST!
We would love to hear your thoughts on the products introduced today!!  Please leave a comment on this post and on each of the talented SugarPea Designers shown below and you could WIN!  We will chose one lucky person to WIN the Hot Diggity Dog stamp set from the comments left here and on the DT Blogs!  All winners during our March Product Release will be announced on Sunday, March 15th.

YNS DT Dare - You're so Sweet!

HI all!  It's time for our YNS DT Dare and this month, the challenge is to make a project using red & white ~ just in time for Valentine's Day!   I guess you could say I'm slightly addicted to making shaker cards because here's another one!  ;)  I used one of the super cute heart lollipops from the Sweet and Cool set.  I colored it with Copics then used the matching dies to cut it out.  I used the stitched line die along each side of the white layer.  Love how it turned out!  The sentiment, also from the set, was stamped on the smaller 3D banner die set pieces.  The pretty red sequins are from the Tinsel & Co sequin pack.  I used grout gray card stock to make the red and white pop.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to stop by the YNS Blog for more inspiration!
